The Bloxburg Revolution was a rebellious, political, and unsuccessful revolution in Bloxburg. Commonly referred to as a war, the Bloxburg Revolution is a rebellion against the local government of Bloxburg that started in November 2023, but the revolution itself started in April 2024. On early August 2024, while protests had primarily focused on the toll-free nature of Bloxburg, the revolution was declared unsuccessful as almost everybody simply dealt with the results.

History

The anthem of the City of Bloxburg, 2014-December 2023

The History of the Bloxburg Revolution goes back to 2022-2023 when Mayor Coeptus announced that he would be retiring as mayor of Bloxburg. Clashes appeared beforehand but they were not significant compared to this. Coeptus' decision to retire as the mayor of Bloxburg marked a turning point, sparking a wave of uncertainty and discontent among Robloxians. Many feared that the new mayor would bring significant changes to the city, potentially altering its essence and city dynamics. As rumors and speculation circulated, citizens began to voice their concerns more vocally, expressing worries about the future direction of Bloxburg under new mayorship. These concerns were further exacerbated by a lack of transparency surrounding the resignation and its implications for the citizens.

The period leading up to the resignation saw the emergence of factions within the Robloxian community, each with its own vision for the future of Bloxburg. Some advocated for preserving the city's original spirit and maintaining continuity with Coeptus' vision, while others saw the resignation as an opportunity for innovation and growth. However, as the transition to new mayorship took place, tensions reached a boiling point after the mayor was assassinated and shot by the Coffee-Stained Republic, which then proceeded to create decisions and policies, perceived by many as out of touch with the Robloxian base, fueled resentment and frustration among Robloxians.

The anthem of the country of Coffee-Stained Republic, December 2023-present, played on six grand pianos after the Coffee-Stained Republic found out they cannot play the anthem on their four Ro French horns and two trombones.

Timeline

November 2023:

The protests started on November 12, 2023, at 9:59 AM when 200 protesters gathered in front of Bloxburg City Hall. They were peaceful, but the upcoming protests were not. They individually chose to disperse from City Hall by 12:05 PM.

December 2023: ( Assassination of Coeptus )

On December 10th, 2023, a group of protesters against Coeptus II marched down Coeptus Boulevard without prior approval, obstructing traffic on the boulevard for over two hours, and trespassed in buildings lining the boulevard as police officers had to divert traffic around the protesters. Trespassers refused to leave the Gazblox and the campsite. Twelve protesters were arrested for charges of stopping traffic and inciting a riot.

  • Huge Transition: In December 2023, a significant event shook the Robloxian community to its core – the assassination of Coeptus, the then mayor of Bloxburg by whom are presumed to be the new mayors, marking a pivotal moment in the city's history.
  • Social Media Backlash: The announcement sparked immediate controversy on social media platforms within the Robloxian community. Robloxians express mixed reactions to the news, with many expressing concerns about the potential impact of the mayorship change on Bloxburg's future.
  • Arguing Against Change: Comments and discussions flooded social media channels, with Robloxians arguing against the change in mayorship. Some express fears that the new mayors may prioritize profit over the citizen experience, leading to unwelcome changes to the city's mechanics, economy, and dynamics.
  • Controversy Reigns: Controversy reigned as Robloxians grapple with uncertainty and apprehension about what the transition of mayors means for Bloxburg and its citizen community. The atmosphere within Bloxburg becomes tense as Robloxians await further updates and information from the new mayors.
  • This would be the Bloxburg City News Reporter's last news report before he was laid off in October 2023.

The Layoff of the Iconic Bloxburg News Reporter: Additional backlash was inherited by the new mayors. A major influence in the citizens of Bloxburg, the Bloxburg News Reporter was laid off. The famous news reporter was laid off, with two new news reporters taking his place. JAKE5023193 on Ro Reddit satirically reported that the last news he reported throughout his career from 2016 to 2023 was ”nyeh nyeh nyeh myeh nyeyeh”. While the layoff took place on October 2023, Robloxians with crystal spheres predicted that this would eventually lead to the Bloxburg Revolution in December 2023 due to the Striesand effect. They were unfortunately right.

January 2024: ( Month of Silence )

In January, a group boarded a Coffee-Stained Republic MetroBus (Bloxburg was annexed to the Coffee-Stained Republic) with signs and begun acting disruptively. The driver pulled the bus over and the three people were removed. They were fined $250 for "Disorderly Conduct on Public Transportation" which is a violation of Coffee-Stained Republic Law and Statutes (the old laws and statutes were all repealed in favor of their new laws and statutes). Some Robloxians were unable to pay the $250 fine; those Robloxians tried to tell officers that they were part of the protests, but the officers sent them to a labor camp to serve their accompanying detention on a transit car operated by the Coffee-Stained Republican Police Department, where they are sent to work for $250 to be released from the prison.

  • Otherwise, not much happened during this month.
  • Citizens looked forward to great renovations especially around the historic Downtown Bloxburg.
  • The new government got ready to launch amazing renovations in the upcoming months.
  • Citizens hope that a school will finally appear in historic Downtown Bloxburg for the New Year.
  • One renovation occurred. Robloxians were happy that the renovation aligned with their ideals.

February 2024: ( First Month of Renovations )

  • Valentine's Renovation is finished.
  • There were minor renovations.
  • Robloxians start asking for more in-depth renovations that they find useful.
  • More civil unrest has progressed.
  • Not much really happened besides more protests on country streets.

March 2024: (Second Month of Renovations)

A group of more protesters had protested in Coffee-Stained Republic at the border to Robloxia. They had disrupted border controls for over a half hour before being removed by riot officers. They had resisted. They had also vandalized many officer stations, and vehicles and a protester attempted theft of the Coffee-Stained Republic Department cruiser before being apprehended. The border was also shut off to new immigration for about 30 minutes.*Many Robloxians emigrated as refugees due to lack of agreement between the government and the citizens.

  • On March 16, 2024, due to the Robloxian federal government making a mistake (the Robloxian federal government still does not recognize Coffee-Stained Republic and still assumes Coeptus is the mayor, crossing the border became free for 20 minutes before the border fees were reinstated to 25 ROBUX. The Coffee-Stained Republic was falsely accused of causing this mistake.
  • Renovations were asked more from the citizens.
  • The President still focused on the continuation of fixing the country.
  • Citizens saw this as an attempt to ignore the suggestions.

April 2024: ("we're mad as hell and we're not going to take it anymore")

  • Buildings were being burnt down, along with many protest videos being put onto BloxTok.
  • The Coffee-Stained Republic Propaganda Creator Program was created. It was a major and unique program that led to a positive morale for some time.
  • Some minor and major renovations, such as new pre-built housing, were constructed. Pre-built housing credits BloxTubers who built them. The housing is named after the Robloxian who built them, such as "itsakeila Housing", "Faulltyy Housing", and "Da_PandaGirl Housing".
  • The Coffee-Stained Republic gained controversy when it signs an executive order simply titled "Operation Fair Pay". Most of the controversy stemmed from citizens who worked hard for higher pay. They will now have the same exact pay as anyone else.
  • The Pizza Planet delivery employment went on peaceful strike due to having lower wages due to the Equal Wage Act. As such, their delivery service was removed, and the delivery room was converted to a staff dining room where delivery people can eat food that was originally intended to be delivered. This incident was a part of the larger Bloxburg Revolution. Unfortunately, the strike was short-lived, as arsonists started to target the restaurant.
  • The Bloxy Burgers employment were pleased to have higher pay.
  • A new movement is created: Restore Our Wages in the Coffee-Stained Republic! The movement was started by a formerly hard-working citizen before he went on a strike after Operation Fair Pay was signed. Known anonymously "raven ur mom", the citizen began enlisting movement members on April 25, 2024. In under two days, the movement became 5,000 strong. The protesters decried Coffee-Stained Republic's ideology as conservative communist. Join the movement.
  • On social media, citizens were seen criticizing the government for these unwanted renovations. After months of seemingly useless renovations, citizens begin protesting as a way to demonstrate their annoyance. Comments seen on BloxTok, Ro Reddit, BloxTube, Blox-Twitter, Ro Discord, and many other social media platforms illustrated that the government needs to step down from renovating. Comments and hashtags became viral, such as #BOYCOTTCOFFEESTAINEDREPUBLIC #FAIRPAYISNOTTHEWAY #MAKEBLOXBURGROBLOXIAAGAIN
  • More backlash and controversy erupted in the core of historic downtown Bloxburg. Pizza Planet became a frequent target of arson. Citizens then envisioned the next phase: economic segregation if the border crossing fees are repealed in the future. This established an imaginary crossing line between citizens who immigrated to the country for free and citizens who immigrated to the country for 25 Robux. The government's Ro Discord server ordered a temporary lockdown due to the possibility of spammers raiding the server.
  • In the early morning of April 28, Robloxians were mad as hell, and they are not going to take it anymore.
  • On April 2024, Robloxians took advantage of the Green Dollar currency in Coffee-Stained Republic, resulting in some Robloxians becoming aristocratic with copious amounts of Green Dollars. To combat this, the government simply printed more Green Dollars.

Early May 2024: ( Conflict emerges across the republic)

On May 3rd, 2024, a group of protesters trespassed into the Coffee-Stained Republic Courthouse. Fortunately, no trials were going on at the time.

The revolution had made some impacts on the government of Coffee-Stained Republic, but no major changes to the things being protested against were made. There was a major downfall to the population, with many Robloxians moving to other cities.

  • Soon after: The Wave: Migrants created comments against the Coffee-Stained Republic and created its first protest banners.
  • A song is created on BloxTok named "MAKE BLOXBURG ROBLOXIA AGAIN". It was published by one of the accounts used for protesting. It shows Robloxians defending the country against the Coffee-Stained Regime.
  • The side effects of Green Dollar printing became clear. Robux became the official currency of the Coffee-Stained Republic for 48 hours while Green Dollar inflation was curtailed.
  • Coffee-Stained became an adjective. The words Coffee-Stained Segregationism and Coffee-Stained Communism became Robloxian mainstream.
  • It is almost impossible to find a home without seeing those words etched into it "BRING BACK BLOXBURG" or "WE WANT ANTI COMMUNISM" or "OUR EARNINGS WERE TAKEN AWAY".
  • A whistleblower known as BLOXBURG KARL MARX was taken away by the Coffee-Stained Republic government and was sent to a prison camp. At night, he started to blow the whistle on a file-sharing website, sharing "The Bloxburg Communist Manifesto" file and arguing that Coffee-Stained Republic has turned Bloxburg into a CapCom (capitalist but communist). The file argued that Coffee-Stained Republic has turned into a theocratic state.

Late May 2024: (War is declared)

On May 23rd, 2024, the Coffee-Stained Republic declared war on Robloxia. The president of Coffee-Stained Republic said this following the war declaration, which was apparently only 40% approved but government propaganda made it seem like the real percentage was 60%:

you all want to make bloxburg part of robloxia again. (audience: yuh uh) you all want to bring back bloxburg. (audience: yuh uh). you all want anti-communism (audience: yuh uh). you all want your pay back (audience: yuh uh). tell you this. i will do all of this, but at the cost of making bloxburg equal to robloxia. (audience: nuh uh). then there will be no more robloxia. only bloxburg! -anthem plays-

This led to lots of protesters deciding to ally with Robloxia, knowing that their citizenship is at risk of being extinct. At this point, it is no use to continue this article as is, as it has now already become an official war.

June 2024 (Coffee-Stained Republic repeals toll):

Apparently, the author of this article lied. There is more. The Coffee-Stained Republic finally repealed the city's toll. The citizens of the republic met this with cautious optimism that this might bring more citizens to Bloxburg, but this might mean that the Coffee-Stained Republic can choose to implement segregation on its citizen base, separating the citizens to two classes: those who paid the toll, and those who did not pay the toll.

After a week, the celebration of the toll's repeal rapidly degraded to random chaotic protests and riots as many citizens who paid the toll fees were petitioning the government to give them a refund or at least a 25 ROBUX refund. The government tried to give them special trophies and items, thanking them for paying the tolls, but apparently, the citizens argued that they should have a more substantial reward.

July 2024 (Coffee-Stained Republic changes their national anthem to the Worker's Marseillaise and the Revolution ends):

1. Let's denounce Robloxia!

Let's shake its dust from our feet!

We're enemies to the golden idols,

We detest the President Roblox!

We will go among the suffering brethren,

We will go to the hungry Robloxians.

Together with them we send our curses to the evil doers,

We will call them to struggle with us:

Refrain: Arise, arise, Robloxians!

Arise against the enemies, hungry brother!

Let the cry of Robloxian vengeance be heard!

Forward! Forward! Forward! Forward! Forward!

2. The rich, the exploiters, the greedy mob

They deprive you of your hard work,

In your sweat the greedy,

They tear away your last burger of Bloxy Burgers.

Hunger, so they celebrate

Hunger, in the stock market game

They sell conscience and honor

And so, they mock you.

Refrain

3. Your rest is no more than a grave,

Every day you'll be exploited,

The President is drinking the blood from your veins,

The President is drinking the blood of the people.

He needs soldiers for the army,

So, give him your sons!

He needs events,

So, give him your blood!

Refrain

4. Is the eternal suffering not enough?

Stand on, brothers, everywhere, at the same time!

From the Telamon to the Bloxington Sea,

And the South region, and the distant North!

Against the thieves, the dogs - the rich

And the evil President, President Roblox!

Defeat, kill them, cursed the criminals!

Enlighten the dawn of a better life!

Refrain

5. And it goes on behind the bloody twilight

The sun of freedom and the brotherhood of mankind.

Let us buy peace with our last struggle,

Let us buy the happiness of the children with our blood.

And someday, the era of freedom will come,

The lies and evil will be gone forever,

And the states will unite into one,

In the free realm of sacred work.

Refrain

Ironically, on July 14, 2024, the 235th anniversary of the Ro French Revolution in 1789, the Coffee-Stained Republic decided to change the national anthem of the Coffee-Stained Republic to the Worker's Marseillaise. Their new national anthem outlines a program to get rid of Robloxia's existing government and replace it with radical socialism, while calling for the violent destruction of the existing Robloxian government. Whether the effects of this are successful remain to be seen, but experts predict that this song could trigger a second Robloxian Revolutionary War based on political ideology.

Meanwhile, in Bloxburg, Robloxians are still protesting against the repealing of the toll, but the Bloxburg Revolution overall was unsuccessful. In social media, almost every citizen simply stopped posting about the Bloxburg Revolution and accepted their new status as a citizen of the Coffee-Stained Republic. To this day, the result of the revolution is unclear; historians argued it most likely ended with a victory for the Coffee-Stained Republic because Bloxburg Revolutionists did everything they could to force the Republic to surrender and ended up having no results, while other historians dissenting argued it was a stalemate.
