The Telamon City Circular Railway is a 51.4 kilometer (32 mile) long, at-grade circular train system in Telamon City. It opened in 1940 by the colonial Bloxian government, and expanded to a full circle, with one branch that has been separated and reused in 1953 for the Telamon City Subway System. The railway has 29 stations, and stops at the Telamon City Railway Station (also known as Central station). The railway has a ridership of about 180,000 riders per day.
It closed for maintenance on the aging infrastructure from May 2025 to August 2025. It reopened on August 2nd, 2025, but the company that operates the line announced that the new trains will not be arriving until November due to technical difficulties.
History
The colonial government of the Telamon Islands constructed the circular railway between 1937-1940. The purpose was to facilitate transport of freight between the city center and the surrounding areas without having to stop and reverse. (More coming soon)
Rolling Stock
None of the railway stock operating on this line is electrified. Despite much of the current stock being former electric units, all trains are pulled by a diesel locomotive. Originally, the line was serviced by Kings Heavy Rail steam locomotives and locally-made wooden carriages, until those were retired in 1975 with steel carriages from Kings Heavy Rail and diesel locomotives from Turtos Locomotive Company (Series 1). The Series 1 trains were retired in 1993, and replaced by the Series 4 (introduced in 1987). The Series 4 trains were modified Class 482 trains from Stepford County Railway. These operate along the Series 5 (Introduced in 2004, and are remodeled electric multiple units formerly used on the national railway network), Series 6 (which are Mark III coaches from Stepford Express), and the Series 7, which is entering service when the system reopens in August 2025. Series 7 are diesel multiple units with onboard batteries and electric pantograph capability, made by Synth Rail Car, under its NEO C line of commuter trains.
Fares
A one-way ticket costs 18 Telamonian Robux (TR$), which is equal to 3 robux in Robloxia, a round trip ticket costs TR$ 36 (6 RBX). 3-trip tickets exist for TR$54 (9 RBX). The fare-card system used on the subway isn’t compatible on the circular railway, so separate ticket offices exist at every station.
