Sylvia is a small town in the east of Keysota. It has slab-based homes. A tornado passed through the small town in 2013. The town is not normally hit by tornadoes. It is located at the intersection of State Route 26 and Cherokee County Road 77.

The town is completely surrounded by plantations. A half of its urban residents work at the city's gas station, while the rest go to (most of them) Viroqua or (least of them) Hiram's Breezy for work. There is a storm shelter in the town.
