The second season of the Roblox animated television series was produced by Ro Kansas City Art Institute and directed by Caitlin Houghton, Mariana Marsh and Mathias Wilkins based on Caitlin's comics of the same name, which adapts from the eighth to the sixteenth volumes of its source material over twenty-eight episodes. Like the rest of the series, it focuses on the adventures of Matilda, who, motivated by her parents, decides to travel the world, visiting numerous "experiences" known as "universes". The season initially ran on Bloxtube in the United States from July 16, 2022 through January 30, 2023. A edited version of the season, produced by Avast Television and in which removed eight of the episodes from the original version to around twenty, originally aired on Children's Avast Television between April 21 and August 4, 2023.
The season contains three story arcs. The first arc, "The Government," which makes up the first 14 episodes, deals with the government and their hunt for the group, as well as the introduction of Michael Rose, a local guest. The second arc, "The War," which ran from the 15th to the 25th episodes, focuses on the war between the Bacons, the citizens of Hillford, and the Guests. The final two episodes serve as the third arc, "Post-War," which focuses on the aftermath of the war and Michael's plans to go with the group. Starting with the 25th episode of the season, the series would released on Mondays, instead of Saturdays, like the first season.
The season uses two piece of theme; one opening theme and one ending theme. The opening theme is "Through the Air" by Oscar Thomson and the ending theme is "Hopeful" by Isabella Williamson.

The Guests responded with additional violent attacks against the Bacons, and Michael is concerned about his own future. His parents decided not to go outside, and they were ordered to stay inside for six months as the dispute between the Bacons and the Guests became increasingly violent.
