Richard Buford (August 26, 1942 – November 9, 2025) was a Robloxian singer, songwriter, actor and dancer. He is also a great solo singer. He was regarded as one of the most significant Robloxians of Music. He is known for singing Rock and Roll and Jazz. He rose into popularity after his song “Blowin the Change” (1963), a year after starting his career. His most celebrated works date in the 1960s and 1970s. His most popular song is “Why Satisfaction” (1966). Some people call him the ‘king of rock n Roll’ however he is not regarded that much as Luther Carson is regarded as the king by majority.
His most popular song was composed in 1966, “Why Satisfaction” (1966) when he was in a band called ‘The Rockers’ which he joined in 1965 and got kicked out in 1968. However, he continued rising in popularity after a few months.
His first song was “Grown Up” (1953) which he made at the age of eleven. The purpose of the song was to be performed at school. His last song was “Cracked” (2012) and after that he retired. However he still did performances and tours.
Biography
Richard was born on August 26, 1942 in a small house in Barbed, Rohio to Marylin Buford, a hotel clerk and Robert Buford, a cook for a small deli. he was born during Roblox War II. He spent his whole childhood there. During the 1950s he got interested in music and did his first performance in 1951. He was very interested in Rock and Roll and Jazz music. On September 15, 1953, he made his first own song called “Grown Up”. He did have some controversy. He had won many competitions in his school. However due to this, some people thought because of him, others did not get a chance and Richard was eventually kicked out. He started composing his own songs in the early 1960s. He also had many idols, such as Luther Carson, Jack Watson and Charles White. After the song “Blowin The Change” which he composed in 1961, he rose into popularity. On January 27, 1965, he joined The Rockers band. He and the other members composed many songs. His most popular song was composed in 1966, called “Why Satisfaction” which he made with The Rockers. On July 30, 1968, he got kicked out of the band because the other members felt that their fans were only looking up to Richard. On November 22, 1968, he signed a contract with Daniel Bloxy. The both continued composing songs and preparing events. On August 1, 1991, his friend, Martin Blocks unfortunately died and the death was unknown, it could be either suicide or murder. Due to this, Richard did not compose any song for a few months. Daniel Bloxy died on August 30, 1994 and Richard stated “Daniel was honestly a really great manager who will be missed”. Richard started to loose money so he decided to work more hard in singing and preparing concerts and events. On October 11, 1997, Richard took part in many interviews and also visited many schools in Robloxia. Even after growing quite old, he was still an amazing singer. His last song was “Cracked” which he published in 2010. However, it was the last song he composed, he still continued singing old songs in events or concerts.

Death
Buford died on November 9, 2025, surrounded by his family at his barn house in Kent County, Nebloxa, Buford has had liver problems ever since his 60’s and was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis in his late 70’s. Days before his death doctors discharged him for unknown reasons. He died surrounded by his wife and 2 sons. He was cremated and his ashes are scattered at his death place.
