The Natural Disaster Islands, also known as Luke Islands, or NDI, are a small archipelago located west of Roregon, Robloxia. The islands are famous for its disasters, which usually occur here. The reason for the disasters, is its position, as it located near a tripoint junction, and being "a cursed place" in Roblox folklore. One of the islands, Frenzy Island, is the northernmost point of the 48 states of Robloxia, and as researched the newest island in the archipelago. The islands became a very famous tourist spot, with some reports saying a billion Robloxians visit the islands every year, and also makes up most of the islands economy.
The island also has a rebuilding system, where workers rebuild the buildings on the islands, after the disasters happened. Less than 1,000 people live here permanently, and the safest spot is a manmade tower, named after Stickmasterluke II, the current governor, is Lukes Tower. Many structures are placed here, such as the council, shops, and a disaster station. Others mainly only have one notable structure, such as Sky Island with Sky Tower, or multiple minor structures. The island also has a big production of flying balloons, apples and compasses, one of the key factors of the economy.
Etymology
The islands are named after the frequency of disasters, which occur here. The etymology for Luke Islands, is after Stickmasterluke (not to be confused with Stickmasterluke II), a prominent figure in Roblox folklore.
History
Classic Ages
The islands were mentioned many times in the book of Adventures, one of the most known books in Roblox folklore. In the book was mentioned that Stickmasterluke made and visited these island, and invited his friends - many of them were Nusians. They later made a small community on the island, and kept living there, after Stickmasterluke said "this is one of the most cursed places on Roblox, dont live here". But the Nusians refused. Many years later, they kept living there. After a devastating storm, many people died or immigrated. Stickmasterluke later lived here, but after he decided to fight, and left the island uninhabited. Many researchers still think about this story and question the authenticity of the story. Hard evidence seems to suggest the legitimacy of the said story, whereas legend seems to suggest that the story was a tall tale.
The Lost Clocks
The Lost Clocks story happened right after the Classic Ages. They were scattered all across the archipelago, three per island. It is rumored that they were spawned by Stickmasterluke, because he wanted to destroy the islands because he said those islands were "cursed". He thought that they were hard to find by then Robloxians. Eventually, he was proven wrong as the clocks were found. In the modern day, they are kept as a protected piece of history, on the Luke's Tower. If these clocks were not found, they would "detonate" and will destroy the islands, as well as some parts of Bloxanada and Robloxia. Stickmasterluke tried to make the island safer and safer, but unfortunately, he failed to do so. *Coming soon*
