Marcus Philip Brookhaven (February 26, 1864 – October 5, 1937) was a Robloxian businessman, builder, and politician, who served as the founder and first mayor of Brookhaven from 1888 to 1908. Marcus was first born in the town of Ville Chateau to parents Leo Martino Brookhaven and Cheyenne Espinoza around 1864. He had two brothers and also lived close to his uncles, Ronald Brookhaven, Micheal Brookhaven, and his cousin. His three brothers are Blue Brookhaven, Henry Robert Brookhaven and Green Brookhaven.

He also has believed to have a long lost brother called Green Brookhaven but it is not fully proved. Sometime in 1871, most likely early in the year, he was taken into custody by the local sheriff at the age of seven, becoming the youngest person to be arrested at that age. In his teenage years, Marcus started working as a builder for a town in New Atermburg that was intended to build new homes. As he grew more interested in building homes, he eventually started working on a new town that would eventually become the modern-day Brookhaven, starting in 1878 and naming it Glarnyraefon. Marcus held the office of first mayor of his town in 1888, as its popularity skyrocketed.

In his capacity as mayor, Marcus Philip Brookhaven brought new structures and advanced the town's development, making some significant alterations to Brookhaven. When Marcus Philip Brookhaven and his team discovered the crystal "that powered Brookhaven" in 1889, it was named Cerise Tyropmanite, and ever since, Cerise has been located close to the location where Brookhaven was first known. When Brookhaven was finally discovered by the Agency in 1908, after several years, it managed to break away from the organization. Marcus then resigned as the first mayor, and Finlay Taylor took over as the second mayor. Brookhaven and his family relocated to Los Angelox in 1917 in search of a fresh start. He spent his last years there, acting as co-mayor of the community from 1934 until his passing three years later. Brookhaven was heavily involved in the USOR from 1920 until his resignation from the organization in 1932.

When Marcus was driving his car in the city on October 5, 1937, John Lou Edems threw a bomb which caused an explosion that killed Marcus and seriously injured nine more. The three children of Marcus, Aidenleewolf and Wolfpag, Steve Brookhaven, and his wife Henrietta Brookhaven, were devastated. His death was the subject of various theories, the most prominent of which claimed that he died in an aircraft crash in 1999 but was subsequently shown to be untrue. In 2023, Brookhaven was listed as a part of Honored Robloxians In The Walk Of Fame.

Biography

Early Life

Marcus Philip Brookhaven was born around 1864, in the town of Ville Chateau, New Atermburg, Robloxia, which is now Brookhaven. Marcus's father, Leo Martino Brookhaven, was a Cape Coral University instructor in the area, but he had to leave his career when Marcus was born in order to give Marcus his whole attention. Marcus was born in a wooden home close to Ville Chateau. Due to the dearth of public schools in the tiny town—which had only 1,000 residents—and the absence of education in his community, Marcus was forced to spend the most of his time at home with his parents instead educated him at home. Due to Marcus's birth, his mother Cheyenne Espinoza, a farmer in the community, often had to work less hours in order to provide him with "support and love". In 1868, the family relocated to a new home in the heart of the town, leaving behind their old residence where he spent the most of his life with his family.

Marcus Philip Brookhaven was left to care after his uncles, Leo Brookhaven, Ronald Brookhaven and Michael Brookhaven, after his grandfather passed away in 1870. Marcus used to spend more time hanging out and playing games with brothers than his parents did when he was living at the house. The family moved from Ville Chateau to the town of Cappadocia, which is also in the state of New Atermburg, in 1871 when Marcus was seven years old, he was arrested by police for stealing a slice of pizza. Marcus was sentenced to at least five days in jail before being released. Leo Martino Brookhaven made the decision to enroll him in Freedom Kindergarten, a brand-new public school, and spend the first two years there starting the next year. He gained interest in writing and art while attending the school, where he also learned more about science, math, and life. However, his interest was mostly in building houses, which was a regular activity for the institution. Marcus then relocated and attended Canyon View Elementary, where he began to engage in more activities and "would always hang out" more frequently than with his parents.

Marcus Philip Brookhaven received his first tree home for his ninth birthday in 1873. He would frequently spend time there playing or drawing. But Marcus's passion for construction grew, and as a result, he started to construct wooden homes and produce paintings and drawings for newly made items. When Marcus Philip Brookhaven was twelve years old in 1876, his father hired him to help him build new houses. Before long, Marcus began to build more "bigger" houses and buildings, which were intended for a new town. Because Marcus was most interested in building, builder Megan Ratliff hired him the following year to construct a school. His first significant undertaking was the school, which was subsequently renamed Brookhaven School. At the age of 14, Marcus Philip Brookhaven was contracted once more in 1877 to relocate from his family and build new homes for a community. Marcus and a hundred other individuals were relocated "far away" from their family and placed in a private home as a result.

Adult Life

In 1880, he applied for a competition to see who could build a house the fastest for R$8,000,000, so he left his home to go to the competition. He was soon granted with the money. At the same time, his dad went broke and became homeless because he tried to make a agency without the governments permission. In 1886, Mr Brookhaven found a huge crystal worth R$5,000,000 while digging in the planting fields. He would soon sell some for 2 Million dollars and give it to his father because he wanted his dad not to be homeless like before, only to find out that his dad wasted all of the money to make a wood-cutting factory. Soon, in 1888 his dad tried to capture him for R$100,000, but he ended up failing. In 1890, Mr Brookhaven gained R$41,500,000 for a mansion he built 8 years before, his dad became jealous of him and made another agency a year later. In the year 1900, Mr. Brookhaven got a newsletter from The Bloxburg Times in his mail saying

Join the NAI agents as they go on a quest for Mr. Brookhaven, you will get lots and lots of money (by Leo Martino Brookhaven)

He realized that his dad made an agency to get rid of him, and that his dad was studying forbidden philosophy that was not supposed to be known for 300 years, so he set up a perfect plan to kill him. Mr. Brookhaven assassinated his dad by using a carriage motorcade (automobiles would not become available to the general Robloxian public, but available to the Robloxian elite until the 1930s) before he spreaded the "forbidden" philosophy. The carriage Mr. Brookhaven was driving had a horse in it that somehow was able to bear a firearm. The horse accidentally ate the firearm and while digesting it, the firearm accidentally fired towards Leo's lower torso, detaching it from his body, killing him instantly. The horse had to be sent to the city's poison control center as it was diagnosed with plastic, metal, and rubber poisoning. Fortunately, his horse was able to regurgitate the plastic, metal, and rubber, and the gun was left relatively unscathed, Leo had died. Mr. Brookhaven thought that the NAI was gone for good but a vice president already took over so until his death, the NAI had been bothering him. In 1902, he had updated the stables and made it larger, and also improved Brookhaven as a whole, turning it from a native Hamlet to a thriving city. A plan appeared to arrest Brookhaven in 1906 and was put into action in 1908 when he was arrested yet again for fraud, scams, and assassination, the assassin part is true. Somewhere in the mid 1910s or 20s, the NAI captured Henrietta, Mr. Brookhaven's wife and sent her somewhere unknown where she died in 1949. In 1917, mr. Brookhaven and his uncle, Ronald Brookhaven who he lost contact with many decades ago met each other and started living together. In 1920, the NAI tried to capture Mr. Brookhaven but he moved away 10 years earlier so it was hard to find him until 1927. Unfortunately, his uncle died in 1922 by an incurable disease. In 1927, he joined the USOR.

Ten days after Mr. Brookhaven's death, his nephew, Charles White, made a song dedicated to him.

Theories

Some people think that Mr. Brookhaven might have faked his own death. According to a city of Brookhaven poll, 98.8% of residents think Mr. Brookhaven was killed in a motorcade, but just 1.2% think he staged his own demise by growing a tumor on his brain. Percy thinks Mr. Brookhaven passed away after contracting the illness. A group discovered a man that resembled Mr. Brookhaven in 2015, though it would make him over 150 years old. Another idea from 2022 said that the Crash of the Millennium may have caused his serious injuries. While traveling to meet his great grandchildren with his son, he suffered a serious injury. Recently, more Brookhavers have supported the motorcade death as genuine.

Death

When Marcus was driving his car in the city on October 5, 1937, the criminal, John Lou Edems threw a bomb, which caused an explosion burning the car, and sending it off-road, it killed Marcus and injured nine more people seriously.

Racism

There have been a ton of theories on whether he was racist towards BloxAfrican-Robloxians (calling them disrespectful) or he was good to everybody. It started in late 2000s when a user named "Sydney" has started a theory on Mr. Brookhaven saying that they interviewed the family and found out that they had a racist history. Sydney then uploaded the interview to BloxTube. There is no speculation if it was made as a joke or not, but Sydney, pressured by criticism, quit BloxTube in 2010, which removed the interview video. However, despite the video being removed, the theory began to grew traction as the percentage of Brookhavers who believed he was racist increased. Luke Brookhaven uploaded a BloxTube video to state that their family was not racist, causing the theory to be debunked. However, it was too late, as cult groups started to form based on the theory.
