The Mauna Kola Arena, sometimes referred to by a nickname The Eighth Wonder of Roblox, is a football stadium in Telamon City, Telamon Islands that is currently holding the record for the largest stadium in Roblox. It is serving as the home venue for the Telamon Islands national football team. It was built in 1994 and renovated twice between 2002 and 2008 and between 2022 and 2026. It is sponsored by Mauna Kola, Telamonium, and smaller investors. The final of the 2026 FAFI Roblox Cup will be played there. It is the largest part of Mauna Kola Sports City Complex.

History

The decision to build the stadium was made in 1989. Construction began shortly thereafter. The stadium opened in 1994. At the time, it had a capacity of 89,000, narrowly breaking the record for the largest stadium in the country. The first match took place on May 19, 1994, when Telamon Islands defeated Vista Union 2-1 in a friendly match. Since then, it has become one of the two main stadiums for the Telamon Islands national football team, alongside Grande Stadium. In 2002, renovations began, increasing its capacity to approximately 100,000. Modernization also took place. The stadium reopened in 2008. Since then, it has once again served as the national team's main stadium. In 2022, a major renovation began, which plans to increase the capacity to 230,000 seats for the 2026 FAFI Roblox Cup. Due to this, the stadium was closed for three years. During this time, the national team plays at the Silver Stadium. The stadium reopened in the spring of 2026 with a series of test events. The first official match open to spectators was played on May 29, 2026, when Telamon Islands defeated Bloxjiado 4-2 in a friendly. Over its thirty-one years of existence, the stadium has served as a venue for the national team numerous times. It also hosted international tournaments for several seasons. The tournaments for which the stadium was most frequently used are the BFC Champions League Elite, BFC Champions League Two, and the BFC Challenge League. Concerts were also held there.

Structure

Football pitch

In the center of the stadium is a pitch measuring 105 x 68 m, in accordance with FAFI standards. All other dimensions also comply with international standards. The pitch is made of locally grown natural grass, which is periodically replaced. The lines are 12 cm wide and white. The goal netting is made of hexagonal thread. Advertising displays surround the pitch. A small blue athletics track also surrounds the pitch.

The stands

The stands consist of three rings. The lower tier, with seats closest to the pitch, is located not so far from the pitch. It is essentially divided into two levels for structural reasons, which is why it is sometimes referred to as two separate tiers. Above it is a large premium section with bars, restaurants, and exhibitions. Next is the very large medium tier. Its size means the highest seats are at a height similar to the upper tier in most stadiums. Above the medium tier is the VIP section with hotels, bars, and museums. The upper tier is the highest, structurally divided into several sections, which is why it is sometimes referred to as multiple tiers. The view from the higher tier is poor, so multiple screens displaying the events for higher-tier spectators have been installed. The higher tier is slightly larger than the medium tier and offers multiple seats. The atmosphere in the higher tier differs from the armosphere in the lower seats, as fans do not see the match directly from there but watch it through screens, essentially paying more for the stadium atmosphere than for the opportunity to watch the match. Each seat is a comfortable chair, providing adequate space and comfort. The stands are painted in various colors, from red to yellow to blue, reminiscent of the Telamon Islands.

Interior

Most of the interior is made up of sophisticated staircases, passageways, and elevators, designed to ensure efficient fan transport and rapid evacuation in the event of an emergency. Along the way, there are numerous shops and food and beverage kiosks. Numerous fan zones have also been installed. A small portion of the interior is essentially a gallery with numerous exhibitions, shops, and bars. Along the way, there are numerous ticket offices and security checkpoints, as well as numerous public restrooms.

Others

The white roof over the stadium is the largest roof in Roblox. It takes several dozen minutes to deploy or dismantle, and is complex. The stadium's exterior walls are illuminated at night in red, orange, purple, and blue. These colors are also present during the day, though less intensely. The stadium also includes several other fields for other sports. They are known as Mauna Kola Arena A, Mauna Kola Arena B, Mauna Kola Arena C, Mauna Kola Arena D, and Mauna Kola Arena E.
