Lanakila Ate (1927-2014) was Telamonian soldier and politician, who was also Governor of Telamon City from 1966 to 1982.



Life

Lanakila Ate was born in 1927. He was eight child of Lanakila Mikala and Iole Ono and their fourth son. Like his father, he had Cougar's Syndrome. In 1944, at the age of 17, Ate joined the army as a private second class. After the war, he was promoted to the rank of private first class and returned to his home.

In 1953, Lanakila Ate returned to army and was promoted to the rank of corporal Telamonian Armed Forces. Then he participated in fight against Makanaa Revolution, supporting counterrevolution. Soon, revolution falled.

In 1964, Ate won Telamon City governor election and became its governor. Years in which he was a governor were one of the best in Telamon City's history, although the first years of his rule can be counted among the worst.

After Lanakila's death, station of Telamon City Subway R9 line was renamed 'Lanakila Ate' to commemorate good period of TI capital during '60s and '70s.
