Iole Ono (April 11, 1897 - September 30, 1981) was a Telamonian independence activist and the first wife of Lanakila Mikala. She was a teacher by profession.

Life

She was born in 1897 in Kohola into a peasant family. Her parents had a farm. Despite this, she managed to receive a good education. In 1919, she married Lanakila Mikala, with whom she had 13 children.

She also began independence activities. She was involved in hiding wanted activists, as well as smuggling weapons. From 1941 to 1972, she served as the first lady of the Telamon Islands. After Lanakila Mikala's death, she moved to Kohola, where she died 9 years later of pneumonia.
