Lakelton is a Robloxian city located in Pacifico County, close to Full Moon Bay. It is the third largest city in the United States of Robloxia in terms of gross domestic product behind New Blockers and Bloxburg. The population of Lakelton is 4,302,922 inhabitants according to the 2020 census. It is estimated that 5,002,343 Robloxians will live in the city in 2025. It has one airport, around twenty-three metro stations spread out, bus stops, and two train stations. The city is located on the Telamon Sea coast. Lakelton's largest port is Anchor Port, serving as the main maritime connection with ports in Bloxburg Valley and countries in the Telamon Ocean.

Lakelton has the highest GDP in its county and highest GDP in South Bloxifornia, being a commercial and economic hub and acquiring importance on the national scene. Robloxia and Bloxanada products stop in Lakelton before heading to the other Robloxian states in the west. Lakelton is known for the battle between supporters of Scorpio and Trumpblox, and supporters of Coeptus II in the Battle of Bloxifornia due to Lakelton's rebellion in accepting domination.

History

1925 - 1950

On May 2, 1925, the city of Lakelton was founded. A day later, its neighboring city, Pacifico, declared independence from Bloxico. Lakelton started as a small and unimportant agricultural village, but due to a good geographical location, the city began to gain more inhabitants. In 1943, military sheds for missile storage and a small landing strip for use at RWII would be the first iteration of the current Lakelton International Airport. The city built its first port in 1945, which resulted in Lakelton becoming richer, expanding the city. In 1950, the population reached 203,293 inhabitants. On April 4, 1950, Lakelton became incorporated into Pacifico County.

1950 - 1975

In 1953, Lakelton opened its first railroad line, connecting it to Pacifico. Therefore, in 1954, Pacifico and Lakelton made a deal in which the two cities would trade, which enriched both cities, so Lakelton continued to grow. In 1963, the city's western suburbs separated, forming Full Moon Bay, which received economic support. Lakelton in 1964, made a large investment and modernized the local port. From 1965 to 1978, the city fluctuated economically, causing uproar and part of the population being relegated to poverty, but the city recovered.

1975 - 2000

As Lakelton Expanded, economic fluctuations returned from 1980 to 1983, which again created crises, but in 1983, the economy stabilized and Lakelton would begin becoming a large commercial hub since mid-1985. With rapid evolution, the city managed to reach 1,432,395 inhabitants in 1990, being one of the largest cities in Robloxia, and being the second largest city in its county (after Pacifico). In 1991, RG (Roblox is Good) built its headquarters in Lakelton, making the city the largest exporter of Robloxia Television Sets. In 1993, the city built its international football stadium. It was later used for the RIFA World Cup of 1994, which was based in Robloxia. In 1996, the city reached 1,938,038 inhabitants.

2000 - 2015

In 2000, Lakelton built its first shopping center, the Coast Mall, and began to gain more visitors, which boosted tourism, inaugurating a system of tour ferries that cruised over the Telamon Sea for three hours and returned to Lakelton. However, in October 4, 2001, the city was hit by an earthquake measuring 6.7 on the Richter scale, collapsing buildings and crushing cars, with 26,392 injured and 1,203 deaths, being the largest and deadliest earthquake in South Bloxifornia. The city officially announced recovery in 2002. Industries were modernized, with advanced technology. The city consolidated itself as an industrial hub in 2003.

In 2006 the city was hit by a less intense earthquake. In 2007, the Lakelton Tower was built in the city center. In mid-2010, Lakelton reached a population of 3,492,233 people. Subsequently, Lakelton expanded the regional airport and transformed it into an international. In 2011, a strange wave of protests demanding secession of Pacifico County from Robloxia began. The authorities quickly stopped it. In 2012, Lakelton managed to be the third largest city by GDP in Robloxia. In 2015, Lakelton improved the bus system, transforming it into a BRT.

2015 - 2024

In 2017, Lakelton managed to expand the railway line, making the line connect it to several South Bloxifornian cities. The city's area of ​​influence only grew, giving the city an metropolis status. The COVID-19 pandemic caused the city's unemployment rate to increase due to social isolation. The city recovered from the pandemic in 2023.

Economy

Lakelton's economy comes mainly from the commercial sector, with emphasis on wholesale and the real estate market. Industry, mainly shipping, in addition to public transport, which despite being cheap, profits the government a lot. The economy has fluctuated a lot, but is currently stable and prosperous.

Geography

In Lakelton, the parts closest to the coast are mainly made of sand and earth (with grass), and low, but as one goes away from the coast, the oscillations appear and the terrain becomes more mountainous, with slopes. These areas are always marked as risk areas during heavy rainfall.

The population of Lakelton is concentrated in greater density mainly in the coastal areas. Because it is a famous area with several high-density buildings, the city's suburbs concentrate almost 67% of the Lakelian population, but they do not have as much population density as the center from the city.

The areas furthest from the city are usually home to large ranches and farms where agriculture and livestock are practiced. Areas close to the port are mainly inhabited by Anchor Port workers and fishermen.

Lakelton Transport is known for being one of the cheapest in Robloxia. In the city, there are more than 20 different bus lines, the most famous being Sanford-Withecoast. There are several taxis available, a subway system with 10 lines, three lines of trains that connect Lakelton to cities in the same county, and its international airport, which transports tons of cargo and many Robloxians per year. Taxis in the city are usually called Rubers.
