Grindavik was an island in the Pilot Training Archipelago just north of Sauthemptona and opposite to Izolirani. It is in the country of Robloxia within the PTA. After the Pilot Training Archipelago earthquake, negotiations for Grindavik to be the capital began. It had two cities, Tavarro and Grindavik City. Grindavik City was the capital of it. In 2026, a great earthquake caused Grindavik to sink.
History
Creation
About 420 million years ago, a subduction hot-spot was formed. It was formed into an ancient civilization, called the Grindavik Civilization. The civilazation was still independent after the Lotus Kingdom was established in 1870.
Robloxian Raid
In 1977, Robloxian troops raided and conquered Grindavik. This officially ended independent countries in the Robloxian Lotus, including the Grindavik Civilization.
Modern Day Grindavik Pre-Earthquake:
Prior to the earthquake, Grindavik consisted of two islands, one is Grindavik City and another is Tavarro. Tavarro has a population of 15 while Grindavik City has a population of 110. This adds up to a total of 125 people in Grindavik at that time. Tavarro was served by Tavarro Seabase and Grindavik City was served by Grindavik Airport.
The 2026 Pilot Training Archipelago Earthquake

In between April 17, 2026 and April 20, 2026, a great and very catastrophic sequence of natural disasters occurred in Grindavik: an earthquake that registered 8.6 on the seismic moment magnitude scale and struck near Grindavik City, Grindavik, Lotus Islands on April 17, 2026 at 05:37:39 Telamon Sea Time, its foreshocks, and its aftershocks; and a eruption lasting for three days before abating. Because of the disasters, subsidence allowed the islands to sink, and by the end of the eruption, Grindavik had fully sunk.
