The Type S-26-C, a submarine that is a nightmare to handle; though it is Monika Corp's property, GFA had "requisition" this type of submarine after Neo-Japan Maritime SDF had promise a fixed interest in soldiers in exchange for removal of liability from Monika. "Your welcome SDF." -Description of the Type-S26-C and how GFA manage to get hold of one.

The Monika Corporation/Yokosuka Type S-26-C, or the Asuka-Class, is a type of carrier submarine made by Monika Corporation for drone, aircraft, and stealth capabilities and is specifically used by the company's private military and the Neo-Japanese Maritime SDF. The subs were named after the company's co-founder, Asuka Horuichi and represent the company's next-gen maritime capabilities. They were serviced at the height of the Corporate Cold War.

Design and Functions

The Asuka-Class is a massive nuclear-powered vessel over 60m long and 10.2m wide, it has relatively curved features to hide it's radar signature completely, Like most Monika stealth coatings, specialised synthetic formulas have rendered the coating undetectable even with the most advanced radars, hence many Asuka subs in a group rely on radio chatter. Manufactured by Monika Heavy Industries and Yokosuka, the latter was bought by Monika in a leverage buyout in December 2015, the Asuka-Class follows many design schematics from older submarine designs of Robloxia and the Tovokian Federation.

Mobility and Power

A typical Asuka-Class is powered by 4 Yamaha DX-87 propellors which are supplied by a Type 67 "Ayanami" miniature nuclear power plant, capable of propelling the ship to a maximum speed of 54 knots, beating the record previously held by the old Tovokian K-222, but to conserve power and to not overload the reactor, the ship typically has a cruising speed of 35-41 knots.

Carrier Capabilities

When above the water, Asuka subs can carry 4 F-35's, 20 of their locally made EB-5 recon and attack drones, and 2 V-22M or MPH-23 Comet helicopters. Because the ship needs to resurface, the vessel does not display any ID markings, company logos or distinct transponder signatures. For rapid and quick deployment, an Asuka-Class can quickly inflate and deflate it's ballast tanks at will for rapid hit-and-run/surprise attacks.

Armament

For above-ground offensives, the basic loadout of an Asuka Class are 4 SAM missile launchers, a pair located on the starboard and port side of the ship, and one CIWS (Close-In Weapon System) turret. A hatch can also open at the rear frontal end near the ship's crew cabin, this is to launch thermite missiles. During undersea combat, the ship comes with 4 torpedo launchers and a pair of mine-laying hatches under the belly of the craft.

The Bakushin Incident

"Bakushin" (Charge), was an Asuka-Class, registry ████ that had garnered a very infamous reputation in Labublox. On January 15, 2026, 4 Labubloxian Naval Forces vessels strayed too close in the vicinity of a Monika/Urbanshade joint research facility that did gruesome experiments on Fembloxians. After the vessels were hailed and refused to turn back, Bakushin fired 4 torpedoes, sinking 3 and damaging the other, it was estimated that 120+ sailors died at sea, the only surviving vessel, the LNF Seremban suffered minor hull failure after the torpedo detonated safely out of range. With the help of Urbanshade, a news article was fabricated and published saying that the ships were caught right in the line of fire of a massive tropical cyclone that was making it's way to Indonesia. While the cyclone did impact Indonesia, much of the Labubloxian public was not buying it, especially after the stories heard by the surviving sailors of the Seremban. When the real news finally got out, Shinji Kotanui, the company CEO and a few representatives from Urbanshade replied it was to protect corporate interests.

Both companies were slammed with possible charges for unauthorized destruction of Government property by the Labubloxian Government and GFA, and after it was revealed that 18 of the deceased sailors were furries, but due to corporate backing and political/governmental influence the companies had over their country's respective national governments, the charges were dropped. To this day, the Bakushin Naval Incident remains the deadliest event in Labubloxian military history.

Rumours

After a Asuka-Class Submarine designated as "Kuo no ko" (Nine-Tailed Fox) disappeared from MSDF custody. There were rumours that the GFA, according to a wiretap audio tape from a listening buoy that they showed an interest in this submarine and that they. "likely" stolen this. As such, Neo-Japanese Authority (under MC payroll) had raided a GFA port in Neo-Japan that was closed during that time (due to public holiday) to find evidence of the whereabouts of the missing submarine or (if likely) the sub itself, though found reports show nothing out of order and the submarine not being there.

Though sightings of the Kuo no ko were sighted by MSDF corvettes with a "GFA-Marine Naval Emblem", they only written this off as unofficial sightings and designated as unevident.

Under MDSF speculations; the rumors point to Luna Schwartz who likely stolen the submarine.
