Battle of Tmena was a naval battle fought from December 21 to 28, 1963, between the Jakoritan Compact navy(mainly the Confederate Union) led by Reu Ehenza and Slendernawan Navy(SNC) led by Kosrow Natsuen. It was the first major naval battle of the Southern Wars. The Slendernawan fleet near Tmena was almost entirely surrounded by the Confederate fleet. Two days later the relief arrived and the east part of the island was recaptured by Admiral Natsuen, who then ordered bombing of CSSR ships. The battle ended with Slendernawan victory after the Jakoritan fleet retreated.

Background
In 1958, a naval base was expanded on Tmena Island to protect the region.
In October 1963, a plan was developed for the invasion of the island and the seizure of the fleet by the Confederate Union in case the war started. When preparations for war began, the operation to seize the island and the fleet stationed at the Tmena base was entrusted to Admiral Reu Ehenza.
On December 17, 1963, the Southern Wars started after the Confederate Union attacked Xenonist Union. This action trigerred the Article 1 of Pula Compact, thus making every country in Pula Pact join the war, including the People's Republic of Slendernawa. Preparations for armed conflict began, including in the navy. The base on Tmen was to play a significant role in the defense, so the Confederate Union expedited the decision to attack, moving it from December 27 (the first day after Saint Stephen's Day and second day after Christmas) to December 21, in order to destroy the Slendernawan naval defense.
Battle
Siege
On December 21, 1963, at 3:19 AM local time, two destroyers approached the cruiser SNC Olabon and opened fire on her. Over the next two hours, one destroyer sank, while the cruiser SNC Olabon began to sink, slowly taking on water. Commander of the base, Counter Admiral Bloxstralia Gregory ordered the ships outside the base to withdraw toward the Tmena base. Meanwhile, three Confederate cruisers and two destroyers sailed around the island and approached the Slendernawan fleet from the other side, blocking the port and the base. A siege began when Confederate ships began slowly approaching the base. SNC Olabon then started firing its cannons at them what resulted in one cruiser starting to sink and SNC Olabon being bombed and sinking three hours later, at 8:00 PM.
For the next day, the fighting took place mainly in the air, with Confederate aircraft trying to bomb the base and Slendernawan aircraft trying to bomb the Eherza's fleet clashing. On December 22, two Confederate aircraft sunk. Meanwhile another Slendernawan cruiser began to sink and one aircraft was shot.
Relief
On December 23, relief arrived under the command of Admiral Kosrov Natsuen, consisting of 18 aircraft, 5 cruisers and 8 destroyers. Confederate ships retreated and the blockade stopped. By the end of the day, Slendernawan ships had taken control of the northern Tmena coast.
