Da Hood is a city in Bloxouisana, in Zander County, and is one of the most populous cities in Bloxouisana, with a constant population of at least 60,000. The county seat of Zander County in Bloxouisana, it originated as a popular hub for transport and trade during the 1800s, but after Roblox War 2, the city was in massive disarray due to an influx of immigrants which was later compounded by a severe yet localized macroeconomic recession. To make matters even worse, natural disasters that struck the city after Roblox War 2 deepened the already severe macroeconomic recession, causing the city to become physically isolated.
In modern times, the city is considered as one of the most dangerous cities in Roblox, being inhabited by gangsters. Due to the massive amounts of violence, the population is a constant seeping of people fleeing the city and new robloxians migrating to the city, often for quick economic opportunities or reputational purposes.
History
Founded early on in Robloxia history in 1836, the city was initially used as a transportation hub for cross state trading. Eventually, people began to settle and build towns, as the constant influx of resources travelling through the city allowed for economic opportunities to arise. However, after Roblox War 2, a mass amount of Slenders from Slendernawa immigrated to Robloxia and primarily immigrated to the Da Hood city. This mass population influx was paired with a massive economic crash due to the war, causing all citizens of Da Hood to become far poorer than they were. Conflict among the youth began slowly enough, but with the earthquakes of 1954 closing off the city except for the main roads, the isolated population began to fight amongst themselves further. By 1975, the city was an anarchistic hellhole despite having some sort of governance, such as a mayor.
In 1995, the Crime Uproot Ministry raided the city as was ordered by their parent organisation, the Chaos Legion. They then implemented strict laws to control the populace, and began rebuilding the city, building apartments, renovating the bank, building houses and fixing the sewage system. However, in 2001, in response to their strict repression of the populace, immense tax hoarding and the decline of the Chaos Legion as an organisation, the Ministry was overthrown by roving gangs. The conflict lasted a week and saw the end of the Crime Uproot Ministry's rule.
The new city was now ripe for the taking now that there is no ruler, and the street gangs immediately began conflict over disputed territorial gains. Despite the best efforts of the police force, the city became uncontrollable in 2009 and was officially considered an law-free zone in 2011. The decline has continued to this day. In recent years, the local government has set up events to help unite the citizens more.
Locations
Fitness Center
The fitness center in Da Hood is where one can buy weights and work out. However, it is often the setting of numerous violent gang confrontations.
Police Station
The police station in Da Hood is where one can become a cop. The only rule to being a cop in Da Hood is to agree to kill a criminal only if they are handcuffed, or they will be fired from the police station. However, in recent years, the police force has dwindled rapidly, and crime has continued to surge. The police station usually remains empty.
Bank
The bank in Da Hood is frequently ransacked by criminals. However, there are plans by the council to implement security measures.
Shops
The shops in Da Hood are frequently ransacked by criminals. As such, they are often left unattended. They get restocked every day by trucks which pass through. Food is often overpriced, but one a robloxian tries the food in Da Hood, they would find it to be nutritious. This is thanks to Da Hood's close vicinity to many farms, meaning food delivered to the city is often some of the freshest in the country.
Houses
1 Sentry Road, Banking Square, Central City, Da Hood.
The houses in Da Hood can fit 14 pieces of furniture per city law. If a citizen purchases a House expansion permit for 100 Robux, houses can have 25 pieces of furniture. Property taxation in the city does not exist, as the police force of Da Hood has rapidly declined over the past 20 years. Houses are often set up as communal locations with multiple people cohabitating due to a limited number of housing and the prices of houses skyrocketing with local Robux inflation.
The Plaza
The Plaza, February 2011.
The plaza is situated in the far western side of the city, and is one of the sectors of the city still running professionally. Available here is a basketball court, a barbershop and multiple restaurants. This district is usually reserved for richer folk, and is often a spot unofficially declared a 'combat free' zone.
High School
The high school has been in disrepair since 2000, and has been closed since 2015. The building is now only used as a hangout site or a fighting location, and no actual schooling takes place here.
Military Base
On the northeastern quadrant of Da Hood remains the leftovers of a small military base. This base was initially set up to combat the forces of the Chaos Legion when they first took over the city in 1995. However, after their decline, the base was overrun by gangs and is now used as a hangout spot or weapon trafficking warehouse.
The Church
The church is one of the few establishments still functioning normally, with services taking place each and every Sunday.
Sewers
The park on the outskirts of the city at night, October 2019. The tunnel is one of the few walkable non-road paths that lead in and out of the city.
The sewage system passes beneath the city. It was repaired by the Crime Uproot Ministry in 1998. One of the tunnels in the system connects to the Central Akansian Sewage Tunnel G, one of the biggest and longest abandoned sewage tunnels in Robloxia. This tunnel was frequently used by people to either flee the city or enter it. This tunnel also connected the city to other cities in other states, including SnakeWorl's The Streets and Sector-07. However, the sewer tunnel has been closed off due to an earthquake in 2016, which crushed much of the tunnel. This also broke the sewage system yet again, resulting in scientists discovering a gradual but deadly buildup of sewage matter in the tunnels. Scientists and infrastructure engineers warn that by 2028, the city could flood with deadly contaminated waters.
Permits
Citizens can buy permits from the Da Hood City Hall that would give them additional abilities:
Make their caller identification anonymous for 100 Robux, have custom ringtones and bring boomboxes around public spaces for 120 Robux, purchase knives such as butterfly knives, switchblades, and compact X-Acto's for 65 Robux, buy a can of pepper spray for 150 Robux, purchase a house expansion permit for 100 Robux, and many more. Gun licenses and knife licenses are only required in the city to purchase more powerful guns and knives, but most guns and knifes do not require the citizen purchase those licenses, which has largely contributed to the fact the city has become dangerous.
