Citadeles Airport (RATA: CTS, RACO: ECCD, WMO: 801831) is an international airport that serves as the primary gateway to the city of Citadeles and its surrounding metropolitan area. It is owned by the Channel Islands Airport Authority and operated by Citadeles Airport Holdings. The airport is located in Citadeles County, Portsey, Channel Islands, which is situated 4 miles north of the main city centre and is easily accessible by road and public transport.

The airport was opened in the summer of 2016 and has since become one of the largest airports in the Channel Islands, handling over 350 daily flights to and from Citadeles and connecting passengers to 46 destinations worldwide. As of the 2024 census, the airport has an average of over 816,924 passengers per year.

Citadeles Airport features one runway, two piers, a main concourse, and a cargo terminal. The airport provides a wide range of amenities, including restaurants, cafes, duty-free shops, lounges, and free Wi-Fi.

The airport serves as the primary hub for two airlines, JetEire and Hayabusa. Both airlines offer numerous flights to various domestic and international destinations.

Location

Citadeles Airport is situated in the northeastern part of the main city and is located at a distance of 4 nautical miles from the city center. It is conveniently nearby the popular Citadelia shopping mall and is easily accessible via the A220 motorway.

Citadeles Airport serves more than 15 airlines and offers flights to over 46 destinations in 16 countries. It is the primary hub for JetEire and Hayabusa. The airport has two piers, A and B, along with one main cargo terminal. In 2022, the airport served over 400,000 international travelers and 160,000 domestic travelers. Its busiest year saw 580,865 people passing through the airport. Its busiest domestic destinations are Ro-Paris Charles de Gaulle and Ro-Lyon Airport, and internationally, the most popular destinations are Stepford Bantech International Airport, Bloxburg Coeptus International Airport, and Ro-Copenhagen, with 356,000 passengers annually.

Cargo

Citadeles Airport is known for exporting various goods to different countries. Among the destinations, Robloxia, the Ro-Nordic countries, Bloxia Kingdom, and Ro-France are the most prominent ones. The items that are exported to these countries are mainly medicines, food products, and fish.

Terminals

The airport consists of two terminals, both of which are designed to provide passengers with a seamless travel experience. The terminals are known as piers, and are numbered A and B respectively.  The airport's duty-free section is located in the middle of the two terminals, accessible from either side. The two terminals are connected by a spacious main concourse that provides access for passengers moving between the two piers.

Pier A, which was formerly known as Terminal 1, is a major section of the airport that was opened on June 28, 2016. The construction of Pier A began in January 2016 and was completed by April 2016. This pier is equipped with several amenities, including a lounge, the Citadeles Common Lounge, and a single shop, the Horiza store location.

Pier A plays a crucial role in handling the majority of flights coming from mainland Eurobloxia and is equipped with five surface gates, of which currently, are all in use. The gates are numbered from A1 to A5, with A4 and A5 being bus gates.

This pier is the main terminal for Oneworld airlines, with Lemonde being another major user of this terminal. Apart from these two, JetEire, StepAir, SAS, and FlyEurope also operate from Pier A.

Pier B, formerly known as Terminal 2, is a relatively new terminal addition to the airport which was opened in July of 2017. The construction of this pier had begun in March 2017 and it was completed in just two months, opening in May of the same year. This pier is situated on the east side of the airport and is located within the main concourse, featuring an airside area.

Pier B boasts seven surface level gates and one bus gate, in which B8 is connected via a bus terminal. Additionally, this pier is equipped with an AFKRoomer, adding to the comfort and convenience of travelers. It is worth noting that the gates in this pier are numbered B1 through B8 and all of them are currently in use. Among these gates, three surface level gates are located within the main concourse, while the remaining four surface gates are situated within the Pier B airside.

Flights coming from international destinations typically arrive at this pier. Furthermore, Pier B is the primary hub for Ro-Star Alliance airlines, including major airlines such as Skyrden, Bloxia Airways, Air Ro-France, and Ro-KLM. It is connected to the main concourse.

The Concourse is an area within the airport that serves a variety of purposes. It is mainly comprised of the duty-free shopping area, the main food court, security checkpoint, main check-in hall, and the arrivals hall. Additionally, there are three Pier B surface gates located within the main concourse that passengers can access.

The duty-free shopping area is located on Level 2 and is connected to the security checkpoint via escalators. Here, you can find a wide range of products including cosmetics, perfumes, and other luxury goods.

The food court is situated to the west of the duty-free shopping area and is accessible via a convenient walkway. It features popular fast-food chains such as Brewsy, McDonalds, Burger King, Ro-KFC, and Chopstix.

The security checkpoint is located on the ground floor, right after the check-in hall.

There are no immigration services available at this airport. Both Pier A and Pier B are connected to eachother by the concourse.
