Aerborne International Airport (IATA: ABE (ICAO: KABE) (RAA LID: ABE), commonly known as ABE and Aerborne, was an international airport serving Brookhaven, Northern Brookhaven and its surrounding area. At its peak, 200 million Robloxians annually used this airport, and lots of airliners used Aerborne as a hub.
ABE was owned and managed by Aerborne Airports Inc along with Robloxia. However, the company that owns and manages the airport was shut down by the Robloxian government on April 24, 2024, for unknown reasons. The airport was closed down shortly after, with a switch to more modern facilities cited as the primary reason, leaving Brookhaven with only one commercial airport.
Most of Brookhaven's air transportation connected through this airport for international and domestic, while the smaller Brookhaven Airport (formerly known as Brookhaven International Airport) serves domestic and a tiny amount of flights per day, so Brookhaven Aerborne was the go-to. Since the airport moved on May 23, 2023, Brookhaven Airport is the only airport that does the work now.
History
The airport opened in 1956 and was demolished in 1962 due to the rising costs of the government money. It was rebuilt sometime in the 20th century (presumably in between 1962 and 1992) and opened in 1992 for Robloxian flagged carriers.
There were Toshiba-branded travelators in the airport, which were installed in 1992 and later modernized by Thyssenkrupp in 2009.
The elevators are branded by Mitsubishi.
THe airport was destroyed again in May 23, 2023 by the owner and manager. It was rebuilt in a new location where it immediately opened for Robloxian flagged carriers, meaning that the purpose of the demolition was for a relocation.
However, on April 24, 2024, the airport was demolished for the third time by the Robloxian government, and the company that owns and manages the airport was shut down by the Robloxian government after the real Aerborne Airports Incorporated sued the impostor one for all of its revenue after it was discovered that the company that owned and managed the airport was revealed to not be the real Aerborne Airports Incorporated, but rather an impostor airport company.
Terminals
Terminal 1
Terminal 1, also known as the Check-In Terminal, was a terminal of Aerborne. It is a check in terminal, with only self-check in. It has baggage takers and self-check in before security. After security, it includes a cafe and its own clothing store, with seating.
Terminal 2
Terminal 2, known as the Main Terminal, was the secondary terminal for the airport. This is the terminal where airlines depart from. In order to get to the terminal, one would need to get on an airport people mover to get to Terminal 2. The terminal has 8 gates, serving 150 airlines around Roblox.
Runways
The runways used at ABE are runways 8R/26L and 8L/26R. There is also an extra small runway for student pilots, that is 36/18.
