Lemonde Airlines (also referred to as simply Lemonde or LeMonde) is a Romarkian based airline and one of the flag carriers of Romarkia alongside Skyrden and Blox International Airlines. The airline is currently headquartered at the Lemonde Campus located in Frankblox, Romarkia. The airline was founded on August 8th, 2014, by EuroMalik (formerly Danorbis/Mrlemonde23/AviaDan) and was the former CEO of Lemonde. Currently, he is the CEO of neighbouring flag carrier and major ally Skyrden. The airline was considered to be one of Robloxia's most premium airlines in its heyday. The airline, from becoming a small and infamous little business, became a massive commercial business in the Ro-Aviation industry.

Lemonde operates a broad fleet of aircraft, (Robus, Roing, Robardier) with more than five classes to choose from: Economy (EC), Premium Economy (PE), Business Class (BC), First Class (FC), and LMDExecutive (EXC).

The airline is known for its technology and it's detail in its aircraft, as well as size. Lemonde has a low-cost subsidiary named germanjet. Lemonde has over three major hubs and six focus cities, those being Paris Charles de Gaulle, Frankblox, Munich, Kensingtonshire, Jena, Brookhaven Aerborne, Amrum, Kuching, Bandung, Stepford BanTech, and Soekarno-Hatta. These hubs and focus cities connect to over 180+ destinations around the globe.

Their motto is "Connecting the World".

History

2014

LeMonde Airlines, one of the pioneers of the Robloxia airline industry, has a long and interesting history. The airline was founded in summer of 2014 by a visionary Robloxian named EuroMalik, also known as Danorbis, Mrlemonde23, and AviaDan. However, on 26th September 2020, EuroMalik resigned as the CEO of LeMonde Airlines.

In its early days, LeMonde Airlines faced several challenges. The airline was not very popular and had very few employees and airports. Its hub at the time was Hannover International Airport, which was not up to the standard of LeMonde's airports today. Additionally, the other airlines in Roblox were not very fond of LeMonde at this time. They criticized the airline for using aircraft built by other Robloxians rather than its own employees and for hiring staff who had little or no training.

2015

LeMonde Airlines underwent a significant transformation in 2015, which marked the beginning of a new era for the company. At that time, the airline decided to let go of a significant number of employees who were deemed unnecessary or underperforming. As a result, the majority of the staff was replaced with new hires who were trained to a much higher level of excellence than their predecessors. This move helped to raise the quality of the airline's overall service, which led to an increase in the number of passengers and eventually gained the recognition and respect of other airlines in Roblox.

One of the significant changes made by LeMonde was to stop using planes built by non-employees. Instead, the airline asked a group of experienced plane makers to start making their aircraft. Among the employees who contributed to the company's success was SaltyTech, a Robloxian who designed aircraft and airports for LeMonde. Although he eventually retired, SaltyTech remains in contact with the CEO. Another employee who supported the CEO since 2014 was a Robloxian named Yommy4567, who retired in September 2020 as one of LeMonde's longest-serving employees. Yommy4567 played a crucial role in the development of LeMonde’s aircraft, such as the Robus 320NEO and Roing 777X.

To further enhance their transformation, LeMonde also introduced a new, modern, and iconic livery. The new livery featured a clean, white design with three colored stripes at the back of the fuselage and LeMonde's emblem on the tail fin. The airline's name was also written on both sides of the front fuselage, making it easily recognizable, new, and extremely modern. The new design was well-received by many Robloxians, contributing to the airline's growing popularity.

Additionally, LeMonde worked hard to shake off its reputation for having poor creating skills by creating newer and better airports. These airports not only boosted the company's reputation but also helped it to climb higher in the industry.

2016 - 2018

In the year 2016, LeMonde Airlines experienced significant growth and expansion. As part of this expansion, the airline established a new hub at München (Munich) International Airport, which was received with great enthusiasm by the passengers. The airline continued to provide exceptional services, and passengers were pleased with the excellent customer experience.

However, in 2017, some scandals emerged that targeted the CEO of the airline. Some staff members and passengers started to question the integrity of the CEO, and there were speculations that something was not right. Despite these challenges, LeMonde Airlines continued to operate normally, and the management worked towards resolving the issues.

In 2018, the airline introduced a new, prestigious training program developed by a Robloxian named Bloodvices. The program was designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of the staff and improve the overall quality of the airline's services. The program offered a wide range of content, including essay writing, critical thinking, and analysis of actions, among others. This program was a significant milestone for the airline and further demonstrated its commitment to providing top-notch services to its passengers.

2019 - 2020

In 2019 and 2020, LeMonde Airlines witnessed a significant growth in its operations, and the airline managed to attract more employees as well as passengers. The airline's popularity was evident from the fact that more than 20,000 passengers opted to fly with LeMonde in 2019. During this period, the airline also expanded its operations and announced the purchase of its biggest and most expensive aircraft yet in July 2019. LeMonde shared this exciting news with its followers on social media. The airline had reportedly purchased a Robus R380-800 from Aeson Industries for a price of 50 US dollars. However, the price of the aircraft was not confirmed by any LeMonde representatives.

Despite the announcement, LeMonde never ended up using the Robus R380-800 in its operations. Instead, the airline decided to develop its own Robus R380-800. The airline's expansion plans continued, and it introduced several new features, including lounges, IFEs, career days, planes, and more. These new additions were well-received by other airlines in ROBLOX.

LeMonde also made news for its efforts to dissolve the Roblox Aviation Union, which was responsible for managing all of the airlines of Roblox and ensuring that they were all allied with each other. However, the decision to dissolve the union without a union member vote was met with severe criticism. As a result, the airline settled for a renaming of the union to Avions Union. However, even the Avions Union was later dissolved for unknown reasons, but it is presumed that there was a union member vote before the dissolution.

LeMonde had also released two subsidiaries, namely germanjet and LeMonde Robloxia. Unfortunately, LeMonde Robloxia was declared bankrupt.

Lemonde's downfall

On July 2nd, 2020, a document was signed by the LeMonde Board of Directors and the LeMonde America Board of Directors in response to allegations of racism against the founder and CEO, EuroMalik. This led to Japhens, CEO of LeMonde America and leader of the walkout, demanding EuroMalik's resignation due to allegations of blackface and pedophilia.

As a result of this controversy, all LeMonde staff and public social media accounts, including LeMonde America, were deleted. Some LeMonde Directors expressed concerns that Dan, the CEO, was intending to steal all of the group's funds (which amounted to 1,300R$ in total), but it was later confirmed that he intended to use the funds to pay developers and former staff. In response to these events, the LeMonde Directors joined forces with recently fired lxuca and MrBob101 to create a new airline, jetAurora, which is a combination of LeMonde America and LeMonde Europe staff.

The collapse of LeMonde came as a shock to many airlines in the industry. LeMonde was widely considered to be one of the leading airlines in the Roblox community, and many people never thought it would shut down so suddenly, let alone in such a controversial manner. Several airlines expressed sympathy for the LeMonde staff, who had put in a great deal of hard work and dedication into the airline, only to see it disappear. Some airlines offered free jobs and training programs to laid-off staff as a form of compensation.

Despite being a brand-new airline with former LeMonde and LeMonde America staff members, a few of the staff members understandably resigned from jetAurora due to the incident. EuroMalik officially ended LeMonde in a statement on social media, expressing his gratitude for the airline but stating that he had to close it. Germanjet, LeMonde Airlines' subsidiary, also shut down as a result.

On July 4th, EuroMalik uploaded a video to the LMD BloxTube channel, which was widely seen as an apology and a thank-you to LeMonde's customers, as well as a memorial to all the moments taken at LeMonde. He also re-opened the social media account for memorial purposes and created a Discord server as a tribute and memorial to LeMonde in the past.

The last official flight of LeMonde Airlines was on LMD 007, which flew from Jena to Tenerife in a Roing 747-8i on July 1st, 2020, at 19:45 BST, 20:45 CEST, and 14:45 EDT. The last official flight of Germanjet was on GJ 2312, which flew from Zürich in a Robus A320-200 on June 30th, 2020, at 21:45 BST, 22:45 CEST, and 16:45 EDT.

Revival of Lemonde

On July 6th, 2020, EuroMalik announced a decision to revive the airline from scratch. The airline had earlier ceased operations due to various issues and was now being rebuilt with a fresh leadership team in place. The new CEO and COO, Kyle (also known as Kyxzty) and P_ikachoo, respectively, were appointed to head the organization, along with a new CSO named jadennkawaii and an entirely new Board.

The revival of LeMonde Airlines wasn't an easy task, and the airline was required to rebuild its reputation and servers from the ground up. To achieve this, the airline decided to hire new staff members who would be dedicated to providing excellent customer service and upholding the safety standards of the airline. It was also decided that EuroMalik would only remain in-charge of the development aspect of the airline and would have no say in the management of the organization.

A day after LeMonde's revival, another airline called jetAurora ceased operations. The CEO, Bloodvices, along with board members Fi_tyo and frosty_salad, had announced their resignation. Soon after, a number of other staff members and high-ranking employees also started resigning, leading to the eventual shutdown of the airline.

It was then announced on the LeMonde Ro Discord server that former jetAurora staff members would be given back their positions at LeMonde, as all staff members at the time were former LeMonde Airline/America employees.

The new LeMonde Airlines made its first flight on the 16th of July 2020 at 20:00 BST, 21:00 CEST, 15:00 EDT. The flight was from Ville de L'Amour to Bloxburg in a Roing 747-8i, marking the beginning of the airline's journey to regain its position in the aviation industry.

However, on August 13th, 2020, a conflict arose between Kyle (Kyxzty) and the DAs (Disciplinary Administrators) and BODs (Board of Directors) of LeMonde. The issue escalated to a level where Kyle was eventually removed as the CEO, and he was replaced by Bloodvices, who had previously served as the CEO at LeMonde before the July LeMonde drama.

Resign of Chief Executive Officer

On the 8th of September 2020, EuroMalik, the Head of Development and overall owner and manager of Lemonde, announced his resignation from the company. He cited the loss of motivation and inability to create something bigger as the reason behind his decision. However, he made it clear that he would complete the Hamburg Airport project as it was a personal project that meant a lot to him, and he was thrilled to complete it as his final contribution to the company.

Dan's tenure as the CEO of an airline spanned six years, making him one of the longest-running CEOs in the industry. This is a remarkable achievement as most founders do not stay in an airline for that long. During his time at Lemonde, he had overseen several successful projects, including the development of a new airline named Skyrden.

Dan's farewell flight was initially scheduled to take place on the 27th of September 2020 at the newly renovated Hamburg Airport, with the brand-new Robus A350-900. However, due to a change of plans, Dan left just after midnight at 00:20 CEST (22:20 UTC) on 27th September 2020. Unfortunately, he was unable to complete the Hamburg project and have his farewell flight. Therefore, he transferred all airports in his ownership to CEO Bloodvices, and the Head of Development role was taken over by Dhxrar. Dan left the project in the development team's hands to finish it, ensuring that his legacy would continue even after his departure from the company.

Lemonde America

Background

LeMonde Robloxia was founded as a subsidiary of the LeMonde Group, a Eurobloxian-based airline that aimed to enable Robloxians to fly with LeMonde. Initially, it was difficult for Robloxians to fly with LeMonde because of the airline's Eurobloxian origins. The CEO of the airline at its inception was EpicJakee, who was not a well-known staff member. This caused some unrest among the LeMonde staff. However, before the airline even began operations, EpicJakee left the company, and Japhens took over as the CEO of LeMonde America.

LeMonde America was a separate group that had its own equipment and four airports. Two of these airports were still under construction. The airline's airports included LeMonde's former ESC airport in Potatoburg, which flew to Balifax in Bloxanada, Bloxas' Bouston, whose destination was unknown, LeMonde's Munich International, which flew to Bloxburg, and Bloxorado's Aspen, whose destination was also unknown.

On April 1st, 2022, a group of HRs pulled a prank on the entire LeMonde Robloxia Discord server by announcing the supposed return of LeMonde Robloxia. They created a Ro Discord server for LeMonde Robloxia with Announcement, Development, Career, Flight Announcement, General, Media, and other channels in the server, with logos and supposed development screenshots in the channels, furthering the prank. A live Q&A was hosted on the new server. However, midway through the Q&A, at around 6-7 PM GMT, the server was suddenly deleted, and the prank was revealed.

Furthermore, there was supposed to be another subsidiary of LeMonde called Elevate, a technology group. The idea was from the Head of Development at LeMonde, TimZockt00, and it aimed to make quality technology at a cheap price for all airlines, big and small. However, LeMonde's CEO, Dan, shut down the idea due to a conflict with Tim over the eventual size and range of products to be offered by Elevate. This was the final straw for TimZockt00, who resigned from LeMonde shortly after, claiming that "No matter what anybody wants, the head of LeMonde will do what he wants." Many people were upset about the departure of TimZockt00 as he was a brilliant developer.

LeMonde Airlines passed 30,000 employees in April 2020, which was a significant milestone for the airline. The airline was on its way to catching up to the biggest active airline in the airline industry, Robloxian-based FlyKutos. LeMonde Airlines introduced some new standards for First Class and Business Class, in which they were given more items and more complementary services for their flights, such as hot towels and amenity kits.

During late June and early July of 2020, developers Lxuca and MrBob101 resigned due to alleged mistreatment by colleagues and HRs. They published a document detailing their harassment, to which LMD responded with several statements. Many individuals had turned against LMD, with the new hashtag #BoycottLMD.

Subsidiaries

Germanjet

In late 2019, a low-cost carrier named germanjet had begun operations. It was initially founded in 2017 and was planning to operate Rombraer R190/R175 aircraft with Economy Class but never began proper operations until 2019.

Germanjet is a budget airline that is based in Eurobloxia and operates flights across the continent, catering to passengers with Economy Class services. The airline is well-known among the LeMonde community for its motto, "Cheap. That's germanjet." All of its operations and services are managed by LeMonde staff, and the airline uses LeMonde Airlines' social media channels, airports (with the exception of Ro-Paris), events calendar, and personnel. The airline's main hub is located in Amrum.

Germanjet's fleet is entirely made up of Lemonde R737-800 aircraft, which were transferred to the airline until LeMonde procured new 737s. In addition, in the year 2020, LMD also transferred its R320-200 fleet to germanjet, which has brought the total number of aircraft in their fleet to 41.

Fleet

Classes

Lemonde Airlines offers five different classes that caters to the diverse needs of its passengers. Its classes include Economy (EC), Premium Economy (PE), Business Class (BC), First Class (FC), and Lemonde Executive (EXC). Germanjet only operates Economy on its flights. All premium classes offer more enhanced and luxury services, these classes usually come with an additional fee. These classes may be discounted off for certain events and holidays; allowing passengers to get a class at a discounted fee. All premium classes that are bought can expire after one year after purchase.

Upon booking a flight with LeMonde Airlines, passengers can expect a range of services based on the class they choose. However, not all classes may be available on every aircraft. It's important to note that although a passenger may have bought a particular class, they can only travel on that class during a flight if they have specifically booked for that class via the booking board. Passengers can find the booking board before security, where they can book their seats in the class, they want to fly in. Additionally, the booking board is also the place where passengers can book their meals. It's important to note that passengers cannot book classes that are above their own class. For example, passengers who have booked Premium Economy cannot book Business Class and so forth.

This booking system is in place in major airliners including Lemonde Airlines to prevent overbooking for such classes, in which is why it's required for passengers to book their seat and class before boarding the flight in most circumstances. Lemonde also offers basic amenites to its passengers irrespective of the class they booked. These amenities may include: A sleeping kit, a teddy bear, a laptop, a magazine, and a pair of headphones.

Economy

Economy, often abbreviated as EC, is the most basic class that is granted to all Robloxians upon flying with the airline after paying a booking fee without paying any additional fees. This class provides access to basic amenities and services, along with basic seating inside the aircraft. However, passengers in this class do have access to an In-Flight Entertainment system (IFE) to keep them entertained throughout their journey.

In-flight services for Economy include a standard meal, which may include a snack or a drink, and basic amenities. The same applies to germanjet flights as well. However, germanjet only offers Basic Economy, which means that the passengers won't have access to the IFE system like other airlines. Also, the meal options may be limited for germanjet passengers.

Passengers in Economy may also be given pre-landing drinks if the captain of the flight decides to do so. However, pre-landing drinks are usually reserved for premium classes.

Premium Economy

Premium Economy, commonly known as PE, is a travel class that offers a superior experience to Economy with additional services and amenities. To upgrade to PE, one needs to pay an extra amount of R$349 along with the booking fee, which may vary depending on the discount available at the time of booking.

Upon upgrading, passengers of PE are granted access to a Premium Lounge at all airports, where they can relax before their flight and enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks. Additionally, they will have the advantage of priority boarding over Economy Class passengers. Moreover, they will receive exclusive pre-flight drinks services, which include a selection of beverages, but no snacks. The seating arrangement in PE is similar to Economy Class, but the seats are more comfortable and can recline to a more relaxing position.

In-flight, the services for PE are similar to those in Economy, with a standard meal that includes any extras or amenities of their choice. In addition, if the captain decides, passengers of PE may receive pre-landing drinks.

Business Class

Business Class (BC) is a premium class of service that is offered on long-haul flights (excluding the 737-800 configured Business Class only). This class offers the same services as Economy and Premium Economy but with additional luxury and exclusive services. To avail this service, passengers can pay an extra fee of R$1,299 (regular price) on the booking fee, although discounted rates may be available at times.

One of the main features of Business Class is the access to the Premium Lounge at all airports. Passengers may also have access to other lounges such as an exclusive First Class and Business Class lounge, but this is only available at some airports. Business Class passengers also enjoy priority boarding over Premium Economy and Economy passengers, ensuring a seamless and hassle-free travel experience.

The seating arrangement in Business Class is more spacious and comfortable than that of the other classes. Passengers have the luxury of reclining their seats fully to a bed, which provides them with utmost comfort and relaxation during their journey. Additionally, the Business Class seats come with a mini side light, which allows passengers to read or do work without disturbing other passengers.

Business Class passengers receive the same pre-flight services as Premium Economy passengers, but with some additional perks. For instance, they have access to hot towels and are offered snacks and drinks before take-off, whereas Premium Economy passengers can only have pre-flight drinks.

In-flight, Business Class passengers are served a three-course meal, which includes an appetizer, a standard meal (which they would have booked), and a dessert of their choice. They also have the option of choosing from a variety of snacks, drinks, or amenities during the flight. The cabin crew is always available to cater to their needs, providing them with a high level of personalized service.

Business Class passengers may also get pre-landing drinks if the captain wishes to.

First Class

First Class, the most exclusive class available on long-haul aircraft, offers passengers access to luxurious services and amenities that are not available in other classes. One can obtain First Class by paying an additional fee of R$2,499 on top of the booking fee, or at a lower price if there are any discounts available.

First Class passengers have access to all lounges at every airport, including some airports that have an exclusive First-Class Lounge, which can only be accessed by First Class passengers. They also have priority boarding over all other classes, giving them more time to relax and settle into their seats before takeoff.

The seats in First Class are the biggest of all classes and come with many features, including side lamps, reclinable seats that can be converted to a bed position, and seat doors and windows that can be opened or closed, depending on the passenger's preference. Additionally, depending on the captain, they may even have the opportunity to be transported to the aircraft via an exclusive First Class-only car, which can either be an RMW 7 series or an Edison Model 3.

Before takeoff, First Class passengers enjoy the same pre-flight services as Business Class, including snacks, drinks, and a hot towel. They also receive the same three-course meal as Business Class passengers, along with extra services. Furthermore, they have the option to enjoy pre-landing drinks, when available.
