Bloxburg Railway is an abandoned and unused railroad located in the State of Bloxburg Valley. It opened in 1890, before shutting down on September 27, 2004. There were about 50 stations, but as of 2024, only 27 stations remain, and some of the remaining stations are being reused. Some stations were closed and demolished long time ago, and they remain unknown. The rest of the abandoned stations were demolished. The new railroad is the Bloxburg Valley Rail Transportation.
History
In 1890, the railway's A and B line was opened as one of the Robloxia goverment's railway planning in Bloxburg. It served in South San Juan-Dos Bocas. In 1903, the C, D lines opened. In 1929, due to renovations and the great depression, the railway was shut down until 1930. The E line opened in 1958, which served the Bloxburg-Freno section. In 1977, The San Juan - Bloxburg Shuttle opened, which only served late nights. However, in the late 80s-early 90s, plans were made to completely renovate or replace the railway lines, after a train derailed in 1985 near the Freno station, causing fatal casualties. Starting from 1998, the lines started to get renovated. And from 2001, remaining rolling stocks started to move to the new railway lines. In 2002, the A and B lines were shut down, while the remaining lines were shut down in 2004. However, the E line and the San Juan-Bloxburg shuttle now became the part of the New Bloxburg Railway. The railway served 114 years (Only includes the A and B line) in the state of Bloxburg valley. In 2009, another plans were made to change the abandoned raitracks in Bloxburg and Santa Fe turned into a trail, in order to attract more tourists, while the San Juan - Lisa Park section was converted to a rail bike road. The construction started in early 2010 and was completed in 2014. The only remaining abandoned section is the Freno - Old town Lake section.
