Airport Line is an automatic mass-rapid transit line that connects Delta International Airport with the cities of Delta and Brentwood within Greater Delta. This 750 stud line is owned by Delta Region Transit overseen by the Delta City Council and spans 6 stations. The line opened to the public in December 2021.
The line runs from Delta Expo towards Millennium, making 4 stops along the way, with also stopping at Airport station. There are three transfers that passengers can get on to on this line and vice versa, those lines are the Central Line, the Delta Line and the Brentwood Light Rail (not in use).
Route
The journey on the Airport Line starts at the eastern terminus of the line, Delta Expo, which is conveniently located nearby the Airport. As the train leaves the station, it travels on twin tracks and makes a left turn before taking a sharp right turn, eventually arriving at Airport station. After departing from Airport station, the train once again travels on twin tracks before sloping downwards and entering a subway tunnel.
As the train moves through the tunnel, it takes a sharp right turn and continues on a single track. After traveling straight for some distance, the train arrives at Delta station, where it makes a stop. Upon leaving the station, the train turns slightly left and then turns right, eventually arriving at Angle Land Port. There is a siding located by the station for convenient maintenance and storage of the train.
After departing from Angle Land Port, the train turns slightly left again and then makes an upwards slope, arriving at Brentwood West as elevated track and exiting the tunnel. Here, the train makes a stop before turning left from a line switch, entering a twin-track subway tunnel. As the train moves through the tunnel, it goes into a downwards slope before continuing straight for about 200 studs. It then turns left and finally makes its last stop at the western terminus, Millennium.
