Central Line is an automatic mass-rapid transit line that connects the municipality of Brentwood with Brentwood Central, a major railway hub. This line of the Delta Region Transit (DRT) is a 800 stud line that connect over 6 stations. It opened in late March of 2021.
The line is owned by Delta Region District under the Delta City Council. The line runs from Angle Land Port to Central, and its main color is orange.
Route
The line commences its journey from Angle Land Port station located in a subway tunnel. This railway line comprises twin tracks that run parallel to each other. The train then moves straight ahead before taking a slight right turn and reaching Guildford Road, where it transforms into a single double-level track.
After stopping at Guildford Road, the railway line continues its journey by taking a left turn, rising upwards, taking another left turn, and then exiting the tunnel as elevated twin tracks, stopping at Brentwood East. Then, the train takes a slight right turn before going over the Brentwood River via a bridge.
The railway system then enters a twin tunnel again and stops at Metrotown. After departing from the station, it descends down a slope before taking a right turn to stop at West Central. The train then progresses straight for 250 studs before making its final stop at Central station.
Rolling Stock
The Central Line uses 1200 Series trains made by Robardier in 1985 that look similar to the Ro-London Underground train units. These are set to be replaced in the future with similar rolling stock that as of 2024 has entered service on the Harbour Line.
