The AR-16 "Flayer" is a Neo-Japanese Assault rifle that saw service in the Anti-Furry Coalition, but in limited numbers after the manufacturer was sanctioned by the GFA.
The AR16MR was later adopted by Insurgency and Authority SWAT and combatant personnel and was the standard issue weapon of all Monika Guardsmen until 2026, where it was replaced by the more advanced "Hellhound"
Overview
Made by Neo-Japanese megacorporation, Monika. The AR-16 is actually a licensed copy of the old 1950's M16 made by Colt, it was meant to be produced as a cheap and quick way to equip Monika Corporation security and private military contractor officers with a reliable weapon of choice. In 2018, 2000 instances of the AR16 were used by the AFC, with plans for the entire AFC militia to have their old AK-type weapons replaced, but never came to fruition after Monika was forced to cripple their stocks due to the GFA cutting off trade.
In 2020, Monika introduced a marksman/sniper variant of the Flayer, the AR16MR had a sniper scope and could be attached with an M203 grenade launcher.
