Piracy is a pirate comic book series published by Entertaining Comics.
History
During the 1950s, Entertaining Comics had a virtual monopoly on the comic industry with with Piracy being their most successful series. The success of the Piracy launched a spin-off called Buccaneers.
Trivia
- In real life, EC Comics launched a pirate comic series in 1954 called Piracy, which only lasted until 1955. In the world of Watchmen, since there was no investigation into comics and therefore no Comics Code Authority being formed, EC continued to thrive and Piracy became so successful it even launched a spinoff called Buccaneers.
