History
The success of Piracy by Entertaining Comics launched Buccaneers.
Trivia
- Although EC Comics never published Buccaneers in real life, Quality Comics did publish a pirate comic titled that, which only lasted from 1950 to 1951. It is never said if Watchmen's version of EC was the only one to publish a Buccaneers comic, or if they bought out Quality Comics for the title (as DC Comics would do when they purchased the Quality Comics titles in 1956).
