Bluecoat and Scout is a superhero comic book series popular in the United States. The series follows the adventures of its titular masked duo battling Japanese spies and other villains.
History
Bluecoat and Scout was released in or before 1946 and gained widespread popularity.
Nite Owl and Mothman had an issue with the series in their hideout.
In 1949, a Japanese ex-agent adopted the persona of Bluecoat, and his son Scout, to cooperate with the Minutemen.

- Bluecoat and Scout are based on Batman and Robin respectively.
- In the Watchmen universe, superhero comic books disappeared around 1939 because real-life costumed crimefighters emerged during the same period. They were replaced by pirate comics. The popularity of Bluecoat and Scout nearly a decade later might have been fueled by a temporary nostalgic trend or by the prevailing anti-Japanese sentiment of the time.
