Shigetoshi Gohara (郷原繁利) is a sound designer and composer who currently works at Nintendo, having worked on the main series Mario games since Super Mario Galaxy.
Gohara primarily uses the Series 6000 library as his trademark, but on occasion, he will make selections from Cartoon Trax and Hanna-Barbera for comedic purposes (such as using Sound Ideas, ZIP, CARTOON - BIG WHISTLE ZING OUT or one of its variations for long jumping in the 3D Mario games; most recently he used it for Trapeetles when they charge at Mario). Starting with Super Mario Odyssey, he began using more H-B sounds, but only for specific circumstances. Asides from being a sound editor, he also plays the saxophone (pictured above) for certain songs, such as the jazz arrangement of the main theme from Super Mario 64.
