These are sound effects that were made by Skywalker Sound. They were made by Tom Myers, and they debuted in Cars (2006). It is said that the cars used in the recordings were that of a Honda CRX, a 1999 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec, and a modified 1996 Honda Acura Integra GSR that were owned by former street racer, Greg Leone. They should not be confused with the similar sounding SKYWALKER, CAR - SPORTS CAR MANEUVERING AND DRIVING, VARIOUS.
