Ren & Stimpy is an unreleased reboot that was greenlit by Comedy Central but is currently unreleased officially, though it has been leaked online as of July 21, 2024. Awesome Inc. produced the series; it was formerly to be produced at Nickelodeon Animation Studio (who previously produced seasons 3 to 5 of the original series). Billy West reprises the roles of Ren and Stimpy from the original series. The sound editing is done by BlueTube, with supervising sound editor Michael Kohler (also serving as a sound designer and music composer).

Despite the first two episodes airing in France, and an official Tenor account opening up on February 2025 featuring various gifs of these episodes, on January 16, 2026, Bob Camp revealed on Facebook that the release of the series had been cancelled, along with a Garfield animated series that was in the works for Nickelodeon.

Sound Effects Used

NOTE: The series largely uses a mix of Warner Bros., Hanna-Barbera, The General Series 6000, and Series 4000 Hollywood sound effects, along with a few Cartoon Trax Volume 1 and archived Horta Editorial/Hacienda Post sounds, very much like Seasons 3 to 5 of the original series.
