This sound effect was originally part of the Major Records Sound Effects Library from Thomas J. Valentino, but has since gone out of print after Valentino Music Company shut down in the early 2010s. the whistle heard in this recording seems to be the Santa Fe 5 chime freight whistle that was on Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe locomotive no. 3751.
