This sound effect can be found in 20th Century Fox Sound Effects Library, which was made by Sound Ideas. The whistle that is heard in this sound effect is a Lunkenheimer Company 6 inch 3 chime steam whistle. The whistles of Pennsylvania Railroad #7002 and Durango & Silverton #476 sound similar to this, but it's most likely that it was recorded from Magma Arizona #5.
