Travis Powers Steam Train Whistle

A photo of Southern Railway #4501 (The engine responsible for the recording.) in 1985. Judging by the year, it's most likely this photo was taken around the time it would be wearing the Boston & Maine 6 chime.

This is a sound effect used by Travis Powers, either created himself or rooted from the libraries at Skywalker Sound or Todd-AO Studios. The whistle that is heard in this sound effect was thought to be a Central of Georgia railroad 6 chime steam whistle, that was recorded off of either Southern Railway #4501’s CofG 6 chime, a B&O 6-Chime, or CB&Q #4960's 6 chime whistle when it operated on the Grand Canyon Railway, However, 4960 didn't use that whistle until 1998. However according to Fast Freight Productions, it actually came from a Boston & Maine 6 chime from Southern #4501 which it wore in 1985.
