This is a rare sound effect that is not on the Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends Sound Effects Library but it can be found the Standard Sound Effects Library which was made by Standard Radio Transcription Services Inc. The whistle that is heard in this sound effect is a 6 chime steam whistle recorded off of a steam locomotive from the Southern Pacific Railroad. However, it is (and will likely be) unknown as to which locomotive was used from the recording however, it is speculated that it might be from SP GS-1 #4408 however, it’s unknown if this is true or not.

It almost sounds very similar to the ATSF 6 chime whistle that #3751 currently wears as of 1995. Since, it sounds very similar to a Southern Pacific 6 chime whistle as heard in the recording of this sound effect. Except an ATSF 6 chime whistle is more tuneful while an SP 6 chime whistle is more flat.
