This sound effect can be found on the Network Sound Effects Library, which was made by Sound Ideas. It was originally an MGM sound effect that was commonly used for Tanner's roar in the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer logo; it debuted in the MGM logo on FitzPatrick's Traveltalks travelogue "Holland in Tulip Time" (1934). The roar is also included as the 7th cut in the Robert Hall effect Tiger Roars (Seven Cuts).
