Image Example of a Hyperdrive for the Sound.

Skywalker Hyperdrive Failure is a sound effect designed and created by Ben Burtt which debuted in Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980). It's the sound of an inertia starter on a 1928 U.S. Army biplane mixed with other sounds for the hyperdrive of the Millennium Falcon. The inertia sound is commonly used in Star Wars media for many cannons and guns in the series, namely those of the AT-AT Walkers.
