Wendigos (Yakama wintekowa) are a rare special class species that are mostly located in Northern and Mid-Western Robloxia. They are a carnivorous, semi-sentient species and are extremely hostile to all forms of life. Many Wendigos live in Woodlox National Park, sighted often by unsuspecting visitors.
Some Robloxians who inhabit these secluded areas are also said to worship Wendigos as deities. Robloxia University psychologists suggest this to be a form of appealing to the Wendigo ego in exchange for mercy.
Appearance
The Wendigo is a vaguely sapient, humanoid entity with two arms and two legs. Most adults grow to roughly 8-9 feet tall. Some individuals may have a tail although it is not a universal trait amongst the species. Wendigo heads mostly take on the appearance of the skull of a member of the Cervidae family. They often have enlarged antlers, white bony faces, red eyes and a bony neck.

The wendigo also has an accelerated growth cycle, with a wendigo being able to grow into a full adult size by the age of 2. Wendigos are much taller than Robloxians when standing upright, although they often, when stalking prey, will crawl on all-fours silently. They have thousands of sharp teeth, strong bones and thick hide, as well as enhanced regenerative abilities. They also often appear to have bones sticking out of their body, and segments of flesh appear to enter stages of necrosis.
Behaviour
The Wendigo is extremely hostile to all other species and even to other Wendigos, resulting in a highly territorial and individualistic creature. Wendigos are especially hostile to Robloxians. According to research at Robloxia University, most Wendigos have an extreme appetite towards Robloxians.
The Wendigo is highly fierce and is not afraid to attack victims even in the presence of bright light, loud noises, or large numbers of Robloxians, although it prefers to stalk its victim into a more solitary setting before killing them.

Wendigos are able to mimic Robloxian behavior and speech, utilising this ability to lure unsuspecting victims into isolated areas. They have the ability to close their pores completely shut, thereby temporarily hiding their scent completely.
Life Cycle
The Wendigo is born when a Robloxian dies of starvation, or dies after having eaten another Robloxian within the past week. When a deer touches the Robloxian corpse, necrosis is induced and the deer soon dies. Once the deer dies, the incubation of the embryo begins.
After three days, the Wendigo hatches from the corpse and consumes the deer for sustenance. The Wendigo will then constantly consume flesh from any animals it finds, and will make a nest at the top of a tall tree within thick foliage.
After a year, the Wendigo will begin rapidly growing from a juvenile into an adult form. The Wendigo will grow till the age of two, at which point they will reach adulthood and begin almost exclusively hunting Robloxians. If a female and male Wendigo encounter, they may mate and produce offspring. However, Wendigos are highly individualistic and so will often kill other wendigos in order to ensure the survival of only themselves. They lack much care for the continuation of the species as a whole.
The wendigo can live for up to 300 years. After 300 years or so, the oldest wendigos will eventually succumb to necrosis and will die. Wendigo bodies decompose extremely quickly, and can disappear into the earth in only 5 hours.
Wendigo Disease
If a Robloxian eats uncooked wendigo flesh, they will quickly fall into immense psychosis and will begin to have seizures and hallucinations. After about three days, the Robloxian will flee from other Robloxians and necrosis will begin to induce. After a few hours, the Robloxian will attempt to dig a large hole into the ground where they will bury themselves and begin molting.

After four days of molting, the Robloxian will rise from the hole, now metamorphized into a Wendigo. They will behave exactly like normal Wendigos. However, they have a reduced lifespan and can only live for a maximum of 30 years.
When Encountered
The Wendigo is by no means a highly durable entity. Most superbloxians will easily take one down. For normal Robloxians, a rifle should do the trick, although aim carefully as Wendigos can survive extreme damage in even delicate areas of the body, like the destruction of the lungs. The best way to eliminate a wendigo is with the use of incendiary devices, utilising molotovs, flamethrowers, firebombs and gasoline to eviscerate the cells of a Wendigo to halt their healing and regenerative factors.
While blunt trauma can slow the creature down or even injure and temporarily paralyze it, the creature can heal bones and flesh quickly so destruction of the cells is a more suitable method for permanent death.
Statistics
Wendigos mostly live in Northern and Mid-Western Robloxia, with the highest sightings and populations being in Bloxoming, South Dabloxa, North Dabloxa, Rossota, Nebloxa, Ro-Kansas, Bloxtana and Blocahoma.
Studies show that Wendigo numbers have dropped in Nebloxa, Blocahoma and Ro-Kansas, have dropped significantly in Bloxtana and Rossota, but have increased in both Dabloxa states and have increased significantly in Bloxoming.

Trivia
- The Deer in 99 Nights in the Forest is a mutated member of the species.
- Wendigo have a strong mythological status put upon them thanks to Native Robloxian traditions and folklore.
- The RSCP Foundation once considered labelling Wendigos as an anomalous species but has since rescinded this decision.
- The Wendigo species should not be confused with the psychological condition of Wendigo Psychosis.
