Wagwan I was the founder of the House of Wagwan who served as the viceroy of Hellismire from 1542 until 1563 on behalf of his brother Termen XIII, and later his nephew Termen XIV. He was one of two sons of the King Termen XII of Kionne and Aman IV.
He married Kailela IV, the daughter of his first cousin Henrison II. They together had a son named James V.
