Tower of Hell is an animated television series created, directed, written and co-produced by Zachary Grant and produced by Summerstorm Productions for Robloxian Adult Swim, which premiered in the United States on June 18, 2018. Hosted by fictional star Adam Holland (voiced by Oliver Hawkins), it depicts a group of twenty people, known as "players," attempting to climb the obby-inspired titular tower through various sections before the eight-minute timer runs out each round, which become increasingly difficult over time; unlike regular courses, Tower of Hell has no checkpoints and only eliminates those who are injured or do not participate. The series includes the primary cast of Katherine Brooks, Robert Porter, Finlay Hayes, Cody Williams, Sienna Cole, Christopher Marshall, Ivan Boone, Scarlett Gallagher, and Christopher Andrews. Each season reintroduces the main cast, who are barely eliminated, while introduces new supporting characters.
Grant first convinced Tower of Hell in early 2016, and development began the following year under the working title Tower Climbers. After writing several ideas, he pitched the concept to Avast Television, who rejected it and preferred a children version of the show, before presenting it to Adult Swim. The series ran for ten seasons, comprising of one-hundred seventy episodes. Tower of Hell received mostly positive reviews for its animation, writing, character development, and voice acting, with some criticism for its pacing and violence.
