Background
Before Timeline of Mr. Oof, Charles Williams Smith worked as a comedian with his own identity, “Mr. Oof”. During the late 1980s, he planned on beginning a weekly TV show depicting the daily life of the character, “Mr. Oof” with frequent comedic aspects. Smith imagined a humorous show that families could sit and watch together during weekends and “share a good laugh”. In early 1990, Smith signed a contract with director John Harrison and they both worked together throughout the show’s span.
