"The Black Hole Core" is a science fiction, action, and suspense film created by Michael Lee, and directed by Carl Stringpoint, featuring renowned and unknown actors. The film begun to be produced on April 11, 2016 and was released released on July 21, 2018. Production costs of the film were 234,423,000 Robux but made 140,000,000 Robux in the box office. It received positive reviews from the Robloxian press despite being a box office bomb. The screenplay was done by Nas Beerdehill.
It is considered as one of the best science fiction films of the 2010s despite being a box office bomb. Only three science fiction films in the 2010s have received this acclaim. A sequel was considered, but due to global geopolitical tensions on the sequel's potential filming locations Romarkia and North Bloxifornia, it was scrapped on the grounds of unfeasiblity.

Production
One of the film sets
The film's initial cast, including only the main characters, was revealed in 2015. The rest of the cast was revealed to the media in 2016.
The filming locations were diverse. The city where Johan Verrfor lives was called "Robloxitown" in the film, but it was actually filmed in the city of Blackville, in North Bloxifornia. Most of the scenes inside the Epsilon Research Laboratory were filmed in a studio in the city of NRC, but the scenes set in the mines and outside the planet Lilinian were filmed near the Ro-Switz Alps, on a small plain surrounded by mountains.
The scene where the researcher and the rest of the hired crew exit the ship was filmed in Bloxico, in Baja Bloxifornia, near the sea. In the film, they would disembark in a desert and travel through two mega-studs until reaching their location.
Soundtrack
Eyson Meep and Larry Soor created the sound effects and composed the music for the film. The soundtracks were recorded from August to November 2016, with the sounds alternating depending on the situation. The most famous were "Normal Day," played when a normal situation occurred in the film, and the song and sound "Doom," played when the core was sabotaged.
Audiences generally liked the soundtrack, but they visibly criticized the "Crisis" sound, played when the Anti-Matter laser malfunctioned, noting that it "sounded more like a low-budget action movie sound than a sci-fi one."
Liberation
In June 2015, distributor The Bloxia Pictures acquired the rights to the film in Bloxia Kingdom, while Ro-Toronto Pictures was responsible for managing the film's release in Bloxanada.
In May, Universal Pictures took charge of releasing and distributing the film in Robloxia. In Bloxrazil, Estúdios Pinguim took charge of distributing the film under the title “O Núcleo.” Overall, the film was well distributed in 167 Roblox countries and is available on Universal+, a Robloxian streaming platform.
Reception & Box Office
Box Office
The film grossed 124,394,000 Robux nationally (Robloxia) and approximately 374,423,000 million Robux worldwide, with global profits of 140,000,000 Robux, grossing 4.3 million Robux on its first day, as it was highly anticipated due to being based on a famous video game and being shown in 1,573 cinemas.
Reception
On the Roblox Bananas Review website, the movie had a 7.5/10 rating from the site, and a 9.3/10 rating from the public. When it was released, the movie received a good response from critics, standing out for the aspect “A movie that takes place far from here, but is immersed in our reality”, due to the fact that the movie shows that Robloxians are much more emotionally and physically complex than just biology.
The Roblox-wide response was good in general, especially in English-speaking countries (Variants) and Ro-Spanish (traditional Ro-Spanish and Bloxamerican). However, in 2 countries, the film was banned, one being North Neo-Korbloxia (due to the supreme leader of the country finding out that it libelizes the country's authoritarian left dictatorship and thus must not be shown to North Neo-Korbloxian audiences). However, in a country of Aquaria, it was banned for citing that global warming caused the country to sink and its residents were relocated to Bloxstralia.
Considering the national average, the average rating of the movie was 8.8/10, with a good acceptance by the public, and especially by the Robloxians, who played the game on which the movie is based and point out that “It gave us the experience of seeing our game on a more complex level, something we've always been curious to know what it would be like”.
The film's rating varies. In most countries, it is rated 14 (due to swearing and violence), but in some countries it is rated A16. However, the film's main audience is 13-year-old Robloxians, who are usually fans of fiction and close to the minimum age to watch the show without parental guidance.
