She worked as an animator for the television series Pet Simulator before moving to Bloxy Animation Productions to work on the series Robloxians (2013–2026). She also worked as a story artist on the studio's first three films, which included Foster (2019), Cruise (2020), and Noob and the Bacon (2022). Nicholson directed her first feature-length musical film, Charlotte (2025).

Early life

Sophia Nicholson was born at Laguna General Hospital in Bloxford County, North Bloxifornia.

Career

In December 2017, Sophia Nicholson was hired as an animator for Picscreen Film Productions to work on Pet Simulator (2018–2025). In a statement, Nicholson said that "becoming a member of a company to work on an animated production, which had been my dream since I was a child, is the best feeling that anyone can have". Nicholson attended training sessions for one and a half month to learn about the twelve principles of animation; she started to work on the series by February 2018. During a family party in September 2018, Nicholson received a phone call inviting her to work on Universal Pictures projects, which she accepted the offer. Only a month later in October, she was one of over 500 people hired to work at the Bloxy Animation Productions studio, as the company expanded its workforce, to allow a "younger generation" to join. In November, Nicholson and the rest of the group were "sworn in" as animators at an outdoor event.

Nonetheless, by March 2019, Nicholson was asked to work on the studio's first film, Foster (2019). When working on Foster, Nicholson attended meetings with animators and the film's writers, Kevin Horn and Keaton Foley, to add new concepts, including main character traits. Nicholson pitched a number of ideas, one of which was for the protagonist to disguise himself as a female officer. However, she expressed concern about the scene being "questioned" by the general audience, though the production team heavily supported her idea. Following the film's release, Nicholson planned to return to work on Robloxians. Nicholson was asked to work on the studio's next film, Cruise (2020), only working on one episode as a story writer. Nicholson worked as a storyboard artist on the film and created several scenes; during production, she drew the scenes on paper because it was "much more satisfying" to her. By January 2021, Nicholson was hired to work on Noob and the Bacon (2022), where she was credited as a story writer. In February of that year, Nicholson pitched a concept that would become the musical romantic film Charlotte (2025). Production began by January 2022, and Nicholson left the production team of Noob and the Bacon.
