Picscreen Film Productions is a prominent and popular animation studio and production company based in the United States, widely recognized for its contributions to animated television and film. The studio gained significant recognition for its work on the highly successful animated series Pet Simulator (2018–2025), which it co-produced alongside Thunder Entertainment. Other than that, Picscreen Film Productions has also made other major films such as Green Balls (2024), At The Night Sky (2008) and Stuck in Warsew (2017).
Founded in the early 2000s by a team of writers and animators, Picscreen Film Productions initially focused on small projects before gaining recognition with its collaborations on larger animated series. The studio's partnership with Avast Television and other networks played a crucial role in its gaining of prominence. History
Early Years (2001–2007)
Picscreen Film Productions was established in Bloxburg, Robloxia, as a small animation studio aimed at producing high-quality content for television advertisements and short films. In its early years, the company operated with a small team, focusing on creating unique animations for local and regional markets. Richard Halston specialised in animation direction and Michael Donovan contributed his technical knowledge in CGI.
The studio's first significant project was a series of animated commercials for a children’s toy line, which earned them early recognition. The team later decided to make larger stories. By 2005, they had released their first animated short film, “The Little Explorer,” which got several positive reviews and encouragements.
Breakthrough Projects (2008–2017)
In 2008, Picscreen Film Productions released its first major feature film, “At The Night Sky,” a coming-of-age story about a young boy discovering a magical connection to the stars. The film was both a critical and commercial success, and critiques praised the film for having a good animation quality. They have also praised the film for its compelling storyline. This success got the production company to be involved in other larger collaborations.
By the mid-2010s, Picscreen Film Productions had established partnerships with Thunder Entertainment and Avast Television, contributing to several animated series. The studio’s second feature film, “Stuck in Warsew” (2017), became a highly successful film, and was based on the old film with the same name from 1992, however this one was an animated version. The film was widely acclaimed unique and intriguing plot. In the early 2020s, the company faced some financial struggles which led them to begin making a “creative and imaginative” film in a low budget, Green Balls (2024) which eventually became a major commercial success.

Co-produced with Thunder Entertainment, the series followed the adventures of Molly Melendez and her friends as they searched for the mythical "Dog Club" treasure. Pet Simulator gained a massive recognition for its humor, character development, and creative world-building, becoming one of the most watched animated shows during the late 2010s and early 2020s.
