Rockford Football Club is a professional football club based in Rockford City, Greater Rockford that plays in the Eurobloxian Islands League which is independent from the Robloxia association football league system. The club has won 21 titles since the Lotus Islands League was created which is why Rockford FC has 2 stars but due to the 2025 Pilot Training Archipelago Earthquake, it moved to the EUFA Eurobloxia League and the Eurbloxian Islands League and is currently participating in the 2025-2026 season. It will make its debut in the EUFA Champions League in the 2026-27 edition.
Since the creation of the league in around 1992, Rockford FC has been the dominating football club in the Lotus Islands League with 21 champion titles and 8 runner up titles out of 31 seasons until it moved to Eurobloxia. One of the reasons why Rockford FC became dominant during that time is how it is located in the capital city of Greater Rockford is Greater Rockford City and how financially stable the club is.
Their stadium which is Rockford Stadium has been the biggest football stadium in the Eurobloxian Islands and it is located in the outskirts of the city. It shares the name Rockford Stadium with another stadium but the other one specializes in Robloxian football.
History
Formation of the club (1962-1966)
Before there was Rockford FC there were other clubs like Rockford City Hurricane FC that played against other clubs in Greater Rockford such as the Mellor Football Association. In 1966 the founder of Rockford City Hurricane FC which is Frederick Webb wanted to give the club more brand identity and bring it to the professional level. He decided to rally other clubs in Rockford City such as Northern Rockford Warriors FC and Rockford Goats FC
Dark Ages (1966-1983)
After Rockford FC was formed, football was not the most popular sport at the time due to Robloxian Football taking over the Lotus Islands at that time. Their first match was against their rival which is Mellor City FC which also rebranded from the Mellor Football Association in which Rockford FC heavily lost 0-5. As more friendlies came, Rockford FC has lost most of the matches and has won only 3 of the matches. Soon Rockford FC could not have enough money to pay their coaching staff and players thus causing most of them to leave until Rockford FC almost ceased to exist.
Recovery Phase (1983-1992)
After Glenn Drake Owen became the new owner of Rockford FC, he already had plans to bring back Rockford FC from the dark. The club hired Boran Hadock as a coach who implemented a rigorous high-performance structure and made the team feel more mentally strong instead of feeling inferior. Soon the club became really strong and managed to beat Mellor City FC 3-1.
Prime Rockford FC (1992-2000)
After the recovery and the formation of the Lotus Islands League. Rockford FC dominated the league with Allan Smith considered the best footballer in the Lotus Islands League. They had a 8 year champion title streak and it is considered the golden age of Rockford FC
Post Prime (2000-2025)
Rockford FC became one of the strongest in the Lotus Islands with only minor setbacks. They had a positive result in the league and has been dominating it.
New Era (2025-present)
Due to the 2025 Pilot Training Archipelago earthquake, Rockford FC along with it’s rival Mellor City FC moved to the new Greater Rockford Island in Eurobloxia and currently plays in the Eurobloxia Islands League
Crest and Colors
Rockford City Hurricane FC
The club colors are officially orange and dark red. The club's badge has a shield which represents the unity and protection of the clubs of Rockford. The spiral on the shield is a hurricane as a throwback to one of the founding clubs of Rockford FC which is Rockford City Hurricane FC. The 2 stars represents the 21 champion titles they won in the Lotus Islands League. One star represents 10 champion titles which is different from Mellor City FC which has 1 star for every win.
The person who designed the logo was Jack Danielson in 1966 who was hired and he used the other clubs in Rockford FC as inspiration for the logo such as the star system which is adopted from Rockford Goats FC
Stadium
Old Rockford Stadium
Rockford FC plays their home matches at Henry Stadium at RoLondon after moving from Old Rockford Stadium due to New Rockford Stadium still under construction.
Old Rockford Stadium
Old Rockford Stadium adhered to FAFI international standards after upgrades in 2012 but it is small as it only has one tier of seating and can only hold around 950 people. Old Rockford Stadium is only for football and cricket matches as it does not have any other facilities such as athletic tracks.
Henry Stadium
Rockford FC currently plays at Henry Stadium which is a small stadium in RoLondon and is much smaller than Old Rockford Stadium with only a capacity of 500 people.
New Rockford Stadium
New Rockford Stadium is the planned new stadium for Rockford FC. It will have the same design as the Old Rockford Stadium but there will be more seating and more facilities. The planned capacity is 7000 seats and construction started at around October of 2025 and is projected to finish at Early 2027
Rivalries
Greater Rockford Derby (Rockford FC vs Mellor City FC)
Rockford FC main rival is Mellor City FC. The rivalry first started with individual Rockford clubs such as Rockford City Hurricane FC and Northern Rockford Warriors FC taking on a united Mellor football club called the Mellor Football Association. After the Rockford Clubs merged into one club called Rockford FC the rivalry became more intense as the Mellor Football Association also rebranded to Mellor City FC. During the early stages, Mellor City FC dominated the rivalry until 1983 when Rockford FC managed to fix their management and team and started beating Mellor City FC. The rivalry escelated as the Lotus Islands League were formed in 1992 as Rockford FC has always been the champions while either Mellor City FC or Perth Lions FC being the runner ups.
Lotus Derby (Rockford FC vs Perth Lions FC)
During the time where Rockford FC were still in the Lotus Islands League, there was a rivalry between Rockford FC and Perth Lions FC. The rivalry started due to the fact that both of them were powerful football clubs in the Lotus Islands and in most cases where Perth Lions FC were runner ups, the point gap between them and Rockford FC was slim that in the scenario where Perth Lions FC beat Rockford FC they could have been the champions. Since Rockford FC is no longer in the Lotus Islands League this rivalry has ended.
