River City, also known as River Town, officially founded in 1946, is a town located in Liberty County in the state of Bloxburg Valley. In 2021, it had a population of 14,109 inhabitants and a population density of around 1,000 persons per square kilometer. River Town is divided between the North Brick River.
History
River City was believed to have its first inhabitants in the year 1439. John Rivers had discovered it, in 1610. John Rivers sailed over from Makoria with his crew of 20,000. They arrived at land that would become River City and started to build up a town. By the year 1650, 40 years after its discovery, the town had around 13,000 residents from around Roblox. Most people came from New Bloxburg, after the autumn of 1624. There were already around 300 Robloxians living and staying there. There are few Robloxians today who are related to the first people. Unfortunately, most people believed it was a city at that time.
River Town's first King was John Rivers, until the year 1653, when he died. His first decrees were to rename the city to a town due to its small population and to capitalize the title "king". Unfortunately, the government of River Town at that time did not have a way to deal with what to do without a King (i.e. the concept of regal succession); therefore, for ten years, River Town was without a King. The next King was Charles Roleton, a fellow founder of River Town. He was King from 1663 to 1685, when he died. He proposed the concept of regal succession, which consisted of a string of family members, who have all been lost in history, which got approval from the other branches of government, namely legislative (for suggesting that it be replaced with a regal system) and judicial (for seeing if the regal system would violate any rights on the town's code). In 1742, River Town residents had enough of regal succession after one King proved to be tyrannical. There exists considerable speculation that this King could have been a long lost ancestor of Donald Trumpblox. On September 17th, 1742, River Town residents, tired of regal succession, stormed the capital building to protest for a new form or government. Up to 21,493 Robloxians were on the building in one time. This became the first notable incident in which the sheriffs of River Town had to handle a massive protest in the works. While sheriffs handled many of them, the storm continued and refused to surrender. Pressure from the storm eventually caused the royalty to make a difficult decision to disband. As a result, Gregory Portsmith, then a classified individual who was presumed to be the lead figure of the storm, became the mayor of the city. (Main article: 1742 River Town Capital Building Attack)
The first mayor was Gregory Portsmith. Ironically, during his rule, he ran counter to his previous anti-king/queen rhetoric when had been helping out future kings and queens that could never become king and queen but could become mayor according to the new amendment, which replaced the regal succession system with mayoral elections to determine succession instead. He later helped out the town, constructing multiple buildings. The oldest structure still standing is the city's wooden bridge, constructed in 1745. In 1748, a city holiday was declared on September 17th, the anniversary of the original storm. Later, he was pointed out by hypocrisy by an impeachment threat from the legislature, but due to the fact the legislature was mixed, he was allowed to keep his mayorship.
