Robloxian Entertainment Television (RET) is a free-to-air television network in Robloxia, owned by Davidson Media Broadcast Networks, LLC, a subsidiary of the Davidson Media Group division of Entertainment Studios. Originally formed in January 2007 as a joint venture with Seventy Studios, the network features a robust lineup of both feature films and classic television shows.

History and Background

Seventy Studios announced the formation of RET on January 11, 2007. The network officially launched a few months later on May 4, 2007, at 6:00 PM EST. Its inaugural broadcast was the 1989 film Midwest Cowboys.

During its first two years, RET struggled to secure carriage across all Robloxian television stations. By September 2008, only 43% of Robloxia had access to the network. However, after expanding its broadcast catalog with more movies in the following months, station availability and viewership steadily increased.

From 2013 to 2016, RET reigned as the number-one free-to-air television network in the US. It held this position until 2017, when it was ultimately surpassed by Avast Television in both revenue and nationwide station coverage. To remain competitive, RET began programming seasonal themed events, such as broadcasting football-themed entertainment to coincide with the start of the season in September. By mid-2019, the network acquired the exclusive rights to the entire movie catalog of its founder, Seventy Studios—rights it continues to hold today.
