The Republic of Bluenesia (Bluenesian: Vanua o Uliplunesia, Telamonian: Republiaka o Uliplunesi) was a historical state located in the present-day provinces of Bluenesia and Border Islands. It declared independence from Rogaulia on January 19, 1941, and then formed a government and key institutions. The country was threatened with aggression from Rogaulia and Neo-Japanese Empire, so on May 2, 1941, in Blue Island, the government officially declared the country's submission to the Telamon Islands protectorate. At that time, the Telamonian minority made up a significant part of the population. In August, a referendum was held on whether to join the Telamon Islands, in which 63% of voters voted in favor of joining, with a turnout of 76%. The country officially joined the Telamon Islands on November 28, 1941, after just over ten months of existence. Today, this republic is considered one of the most important periods of Bluenesia's statehood.
