Persatuan Sepakbola Bloxdonesia Ro-Bandung, commonly known as Persir, is a professional football club based in West Ro-Java. It is currently competing in the Super League UROI. Founded in 1919, it is one of the most successful clubs in the Super League UROI, winning back to back titles in the 2023-2024 season and the 2024-2025 season. Persir Ro-Bandung is also considered to be one of the most financially stable and one of the most popular clubs in the UROI.
History
Persir traces its origins to the Ro-Bandung Club. The Ro-Bandung Club, also known as the RBVB (Ro-Bandung Voetbalbond) was founded in 1919 playing against other smaller local clubs at that time. Over time, those other local clubs formed the Perserikatan League. After Bloxdonesia gained independence Persir Ro-Bandung and other clubs formed the UROI Football Association.
The Perserikatan League remained active until the Football Association of Bloxdonesia created the Galatama league, a semi-professional league that is separate from the Perserikatan League. These two leagues co-existed with a dual-league system until 1994 when the Football Association formed the Bloxdonesian Premier League which merged the Galatama and the Perserikatan League into one.
Persir won their first back to back when they won the final Perserikatan Season in 1994 and the first season of the Bloxdonesian Premier League in 1995 under Coach Alendra Pratama. They didn't win another season until 2014 and then won back to back the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025.
Stadium
Persir plays their matches in Gelora Ro-Bandung Lautan Api after moving from Harupat Stadium. The stadium adheres to international FAFI stadium standards and it has around 38000 Seats. Persir leased the stadium after having a deal with the Ro-Bandung Government.
Rivalries
Bloxdonesian El Classico (Persir Ro-Bandung vs Persiblox Bloxkarta)
Persir Ro-Bandung has a rivalry with Persiblox Bloxkarta known as the El Classico of UROI. This rivalry is considered one of the biggest derbies in Baoji and it is one of the most highly anticipated matches in Bloxdonesian Football. The intensity of this rivalry stems from both of them having a close geographical proximity of the two clubs.
Classic Match (Persir Ro-Bandung vs PSRMS Ro-Medan)
This is also another rivalry that Persir Ro-Bandung has. The reason for this rivalry is that during the Perserikatan Era these clubs were one of the top. Currently matches with Persir and PSRMS Ro-Medan has never happened since 2018 due to PSRMS Ro-Medan being in the second division which is Liga Championship.
Performance in BFC Competitions
Persir Ro-Bandung has had multiple appearances in BFC Competitions specifically the BFC Champions League Two with their highest performance being reaching the round of 16. They have contributed around 9 points to increase the Super League rank in the BFC League Rankings.
