Noctavexes, known by their less popular name as Voidlings, are an anomalous species of parasitic organism that inhabits the deceased body of a Robloxian, Furry, or anyone deemed a suitable host.
Appearance
Noctavexes are basically a parasitic version of a Robloxian that has died, and wears the dead body like a "costume". When the body has been inherited with the Noctavex, they will grow tentacles, antennae and facial features. A new Voidling's gender is based on the gender of the dead host. So far only 3 genders have been recorded: Male, Female and Non-Binary. More gender variants are being discovered soon.
The Noctavex themselves are an anomalous species dubbed the "Void Asseculas", induviduals that are entirely pitch black, with only 2 tiny all-white eyes. They can also be furries sometimes.
Males:
- Antennae are more jagged and triangular
- The void face crest is circular, with their slit on either one of their cheeks
- Arms and hands are a gradient (Linear)
- 4 tentacles
Females:
- More elegant, neat and straighter arch-like antennae
- Crown-like void facial crest, with their slit in the middle of their forehead
- Arms and hands have swirl-like patterns
- 6 tentacles
Non-Binary:
- A mix between the appearances of male and female antennae
- the crest is triangular in shape with a nasal facial slit
- Arms and hands have a step gradient pattern
- 8 or more tentacles
Transition
When a dead body is left unattended, without any outside interference or disturbance, there is a 2 in 5 chance a Void Asseculas will manifest and inhabit the body though any exposed wound or bodily orifice such as the mouth or rear end.
30 minutes after this, the corpse will reanimate, with the void asseculas retaining the memories of the host before they died. However some might not remember the host's past life.
Study
Noctavexes and Void Asseculas instances have been studied by every major scientific company and government agency, from Sol Command to Thunder Science, research into the Noctavex's parasitic and necromantic abilities are ongoing in secret facilities on the Roblox Moon. In DSWN however. Noctavexes and void asseculas are pretty common (mostly in abandoned places).
