The New Blockers City Subway is a rapid transit system owned by New Blockers City and leased to the New Blockers City Transit Authority, an affiliate agency of the state-run Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA). It opened on October 27, 1904.
Currently, the subway network has a number of 36 lines, a number of 472 stations, and with a number of 4,824,000 daily riders. It has the highest number of stations on a rapid transit system.
