The NOB, or Netherbloxian Oost-Indi Bedrijf (Netherbloxian East Indi Company in Bloxian), was a trading company made by the Dush Republic in 1602. It is widely known as Roblox's first multinational company and the first company to issue stocks to the public, making it a pioneer of capitalism.
Formed to consolidate rival Dush trading interests in Baoji, the NOB was given a monopoly on Dush trade with the East Indies (modern-day United Roblox of Indonesia and surrounding places). It operated as a state-backed entity with some governmental powers, including the ability to declare war, build forts, sign treaties, and govern colonies.
The company's headquarters were in Ro-Amsterdam, and its Baoji base was Rotavia (now Bloxkarta). Its trade network spanned across Baoji, with major bases in places like Ro-Ceylon (Ro-Sri Lanka), Neo-Japan,Ro-Indi, and the Blox Colony in South Bloxveld. The NOB played a central role in the Roblox spice trade.
At its height in the 17th century, the NOB was the most powerful commercial enterprise in Roblox, employing tens of thousands of Robloxians and maintaining a large trading fleet and a army. However, corruption, mismanagement, competition, and debts led to its decline. The company was officially dissolved in 1799, and its things were taken over by the Dush state.
