History:
Technology Policy Update
On August 13, 2025, the school board of the Massagaf ISD decided to restrict the usage of all personal devices on school premises. They will not be allowed to be used for non-emergency purposes and during school hours (except for lunch). This rule later became a nation law (law in the whole country).
Meanwhile, the school board of the Massagaf ISD decided to issue school-based devices to fifth graders and up. The devices planned to be used are MacBooks and headphones/earbuds will initially be prohibited until seventh grade. Students from the seventh to the ninth grades can only have wired headphones, while tenth grades and higher can choose to have wireless headphones or earbuds. Gaming will be strictly prohibited on those devices.
The restriction will be enforced as personal devices will be confiscated for the rest of school hours for first violations. Students can pick them up after school. Second or more violations will led to the personal device being confiscated permanently, and students will not be allowed to pick them up. Parents and guardians can retrieve the device after they agree to keep a vigilant eye on their children on their devices.
